Even though we read good reviews we were slightly disappointed. I went with my family from Greece and we ordered both starters and mains. Starters were ok but the mains, I have to say that we were very disappointed both about the food and the service. We ordered 2 paellas, one salmon and on octopus. The octopus was ordered by me and it was gorgeous! Unfortunately, the compliments stop are about to stop over there. The 2 seafood paellas we ordered were clearly burnt and even though we were very hungry, we decided to say something about it and the servers brought another one. Even though the new one, was better, the staff didn;t seem very happy about it and besides the fake smiles, it was very clear that they didn't appreciate the fact that we pointed out the burnt food. They didn't even check back to see if the new dishes were ok! Apart from that, since I am managing restaurants for a living, i tried to reassured them that the food was better the second time, they didn;t seem very keen to know about it.. My sister's salmon was also clearly overcooked, but we didn;t want to waste any more time. At the very end, we were socked that there was no compensation regarding the 2 dishes that they cooked again while the rest of the party was already eating, and half of the table didn;t have food for most of that time! By the time they had the food, most of our meal was finished. Not only that, but they didn;t apologize at all!! Shocking service, I have to say. Also I have to mention. It is so randomly built, that the sink for the toilets is inside the restaurant next to the table!!You can definitely find something...
Read moreI was searching for a restaurant while queuing up at the Santa Justa lift. I made a reservation when I saw the good reviews,Of course, I had to wait for a while. Fortunately, the manager Prabhat was very enthusiastic and took the time to introduce me to the meal。
Since I have been in Spain for half a month and Portugal for a week, I have some understanding of the cuisines of these two countries, but I am still very satisfied with Prabhat's introduction。
I live in Canada. The cuttlefish paella in this restaurant combines the essence of Portugal and the West. It is the most satisfying of the four black paella I have eaten during this trip. The whole plate of rice is very tasty, the rice grains are not as hard as usual, and the bottom is slightly fragrant, a bit like claypot rice in Hong Kong。 The grilled sea bass introduced by Prabhat is also top-notch, the fish is smooth and tender, and the cooking is at the level of Michelin。 Thanks to the manager for the introduction and the optimistic, cheerful and attentive service. When I paid the bill, I immediately made a reservation to go tomorrow night, saying that there was one more night in Lisbon, and I enjoyed good service, good food, and reasonably...
Read moreGreat local choice- the food here is inexpensive and delicious! The table sitting behind us dined here multiple times on their trip- it was that good! It is a super small place though since they only have around 6 tables. They have a steady stream of customers but it didn’t seem too crazy wait wise. We came around 5:30 and just took a lap around the block as we waited for a party before us to finish and we were seated around 5:50. Would recommend getting the lemonade! It was delicious and I think they make it because they asked us to taste it when it was served. We got the seafood paella and the chicken paella which were the 2 most popular orders according to the staff. Both were very yummy, if you’re lazy like me, take note that the seafood paella shrimp comes with the shell on. We also got the octopus which was delicious as well, served with potatoes and vegetables. The octopus was super fresh as they just brought it in day of!
Would honestly come again if we don’t have anything better to eat later in the trip (if we’re not full from all the pasteis de nata) but overall...
