If you want a good quality restaurant, this is it.

Where to even begin? At first impression, the atmosphere is cosy and pleasing to the eye. The blues make it memorable and iconic 💙.

The food is delicious. It feels very authentic but with it's own identity. If you taste Grega, you will know what they are about. In my opinion, they have that perfect balance between home food and the refinement of a restaurant. Nothing like grandma's cooking, right?

And leaving the best for last and the highlight of my night: the waiter staff. Super kind people, with a passion in their eyes that is palpable. It's a breath of fresh air to see people who still love their job. They made everything easy, going through the whole menu and giving out recommendations and even being flexible with big orders. Between these waiters, I'd like to highlight Vítor and Margarida. Vítor was super nice and patient, explaining every question, redoing orders if necessary, and giving context history of each dish. Doing it all with a smile.

And than there was Margarida, the heartthrob of the establishment. Very outgoing and charismatic, she made the atmosphere fun and playful. She tended even to the most niche requests and gave out opinions and advises pertaining the menu. Her attitude is simply magnetic.

If you want to have a great experience, be sure to ask for them. And be kind to these lovely humans beings! Honestly, even if the food was bad, I'd come back just for...

A fantastic place to call home. Incredible selection of local and Greek wine and food. Rui (the owner) is very friendly and their selection of cheese is excellent. If you need any travel advice for getting around the island this should be your first stop. Unsure of what to drink ? Ask and they will create a mixture you never thought possible and it will become your favorite drink. (I say while drinking a mixture of Vino Verde and Sprite which sounds ridiculous but it's absolutely perfect)

Update 2025 15 months later: absolutely incredible and getting better all the time. The spreads are fantastic and it's one of the few restaurants in Ponta Delgada that is consistently and continuously full every day from open until close. Prices are fair and (honestly) a little low for the excellent quality. Do yourself a favor, while looking over the menu order yourself a glass of Mastik; it makes deciding what you'll eat slightly easier as this beautiful concoction warms your tongue and tummy 50/10. Always my first choice for 2nd lunch and all three dinners.

Oh, the ice cream..... The ice cream..... Probably what mana tastes like.

I've never seen a plate go back to the kitchen with anything left on it.

The kitchen staff are quick and Maggie and Victor, I'm sure, will be your favorite waiters in the city; trust them when they make a suggestion, they know...

Very disappointing all round. We were not made to feel welcome - they tried to turn us away even though we had booked. We were put on a small table right up against the chiller cabinet and right next to another table. A better table was available and the waiter tried to direct us there initially, but the boss insisted that we were sat at the other table. A 'walk-in' couple were later given that table. I had the '3 dips' starters - it was not taramasalata as I know it - no fish was harmed in the creation of that oily slime. There was no veggie moussaka ... and no apology for that ... in fact, it could have been my fault from their reaction. The main was pitiful, 4 small stodgy tasteless falafel on a small bed of pasta with a bit of tomato sauce stirred in. I love good Greek food but this is not it. They seemed mostly concerned with getting people in and out as fast as possible. Poor food, poor service,...

This was our second visit to this incredible family-run restaurant, and it certainly didn't disappoint. Immerse yourself in the Greek setting complete with music and décor. The food is consistently excellent, with each dish bursting with flavour and beautifully presented. The "meze" platter (We recommend it as you get a wide choice of Greek food) for two was delicious and filling. The staff was attentive and friendly, making us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. Additionally, the restaurant stands out for its immaculate cleanliness and organization, reflecting a commitment to high standards that I've rarely seen in years. Overall, it was another fantastic dining experience that I would highly recommend. Καλό φαγητό (Happy eating)!!

Had a great experience at this restaurant. The owner, Rui, waited on us, and in between running around to serve other customers, he spent time talking with us and making us laugh. The food was delicious, we started with stuffed grape leaves and a hummus platter. Both were delicious. We followed that with a mixed grill platter that had 3 different kabobs, taziki and lemon potatoes and a Greek salad with grilled chicken. This was excellent and we ended with some homemade ice cream with a honey drizzle. The only issue was that we sat outside the restaurant on the sidewalk, which was not pedestrian-only, so we had cars driving by. I can personally say that this hidden gem deserves a visit if you’re in Ponta Delgada, Sao Miguel, Azores.
