We stumbled on this place, because we were searching for new places with discount on TheFork, and since we were all meat lovers we had to try eat.
We usually dine early, so we got to the restaurant at 7pm and we had the place to ourselves, and we able to get full descriptions on the different cuts that they had available that day, and special cuts not even on the menu.
We had the tomahawk and a TBone of neutered ox, both were divine!
The couvert nor the appetizers that we had were that great (we had the carpaccio and the smoked ham). They were ok but not at all awesome.
Another great thing was the brownie dessert that was perfect!
The waiter that we had, Gabriel, was very friendly and explained everything to us.
Also liked the smashed sweet potatoes and the “grelos” (turnip greens I think)
My rating is only for because it is really expensive even with a discount and because the appetizers were not great.

Read moreExtremely disappointed after having read reviews and being recommended to it. The food was honestly below par, The Fillet Mignon was far from being a piece of fillet. It was tough and did not taste or cut like a fillet should. We asked for medium to well and we got a rare piece of meat , which was probably sirloin. The staff were good and recooked the meat but it was really poor. My wife left it after one bite, as i did. The chef or manager did not bother to even pop his/her head out to see if they could remedy the situation.
The potatoes with Philadelphia cheese were fantastic until we cut one that was off.. black on the inside. Left it on plate and no one reacted to it , even though one of the waiters saw it.
We paid in full but we are unlikely to set our foot in there again, nor, will we recommend it to any of our friends . First disappointing meal in this...
Read moreThe setting is nice - place was almost empty. Or - it WAS empty. Coming from a nearby Steakhouse that was completely booked unfortunately. The waiter seemed friendly but forgot a lot of our requests. Beef (dry aged rib-eye) seemed a bit of and was of not the expected quality at all. (1.1 kg) the bone must have weighed close to the weight of the meat. The "grill" taste is usually easy to get with a ribeye but in this case it was minimal. Easy to learn for the future :- Serve COLD water please. When asking for a cooled glass of wine - bring a COOLED glass of wine instead of just serving a warm. When i ask what´s in the Tomato salad when not stated - do not say only olive oil - since it was covered and tasted of onions all through. The French fries was good. Oh.. and the most depressing music we have ever heard on a restaurant. Small steps can make the place...
