So here is a story for anyone planning on coming here ever. We were having drinks at this bar that, to be honest, looked cool. They were ALL out of beer so we ordered cocktails. We were sitting there for quite some time and literally could not drink one sip because of how bad they were. We made a minor complaint, and then proceeded to order a 7up which tasted absolutely horrible. Like it was rotten. We took in the bill and asked if the “bartender” could take anything off of it (given our 4 untouched drinks + one 7up at our table). He refused and we asked to talk to someone in charge. He then proceeded to go outside to make a phone call and when we asked about it he said: “the police are on the way” (???). We were really confused as to why he decided to call the police on us, so we decided to pay the full amount and leave. As we left, the “bartender” stormed outside, pointed a finger at our faces and screamed “fucking bitches” at us and that we were disrespecting him. He then proceeded to throw a full water bottle at us as he closed the door. Quite poor service, to...

Took a while for a waiter to notice us. He was very friendly though (aren't all Portugese?!) We ordered all the appetizers and a bottle of their white wine.
The wine arrived first, quite sour but ok. Then were the dishes altogether. The octopus was pure rubber. The sardines, as much as I love spicy food, were waaay too hot, for no reason. The chorizo was like the sausages we bbq at home, and sometimes leave for extra couple of minutes. The cheese in the baked tomato...
During our meal we saw couple other diners complaining to a waitress about their food. Some waiters, for some reason, were cleaning the shelves while there were seated customers waiting for service. When the waitress returned to tell the chef about the complaints, he walked from the bar area doing weird hand...
Read moreI was there late at night when the restaurant becomes a bar with a dance floor. Despite the fact that it was not a warm night, the heat inside was truly unbearable. Shockingly, they had turned on at least two heaters (!!!) and only one or two of the celling fans were spinning. I also don't believe there was any air conditioning on. This must be a regular occurrence there as we noticed that some people had brought their own fans to stay cool! In the end, we had to leave as the best was making us feel awful. It made one of my friends feel really ill.
The music was fun and the bar itself is incredibly cool and interesting. However, turning up the heat to such an uncomfortable level - likely so that people will buy more drinks, is absolutely unacceptable. Also, €2.50 for a tiny beer was very expensive by Porto standards.
I felt like I was being manipulated/exploited. For this reason, I'm only giving Galerias de...
