We went for a late dinner without a previous reservation. It was still quite full so I would recommend making a previous reservation, just to be sure. We started with 2 cocktails- they are amazing! (One with ginger beer and the other with grape juice (?)- can’t remember the names). Really recommend both of them. We tried the bacalhau dumplings- we were positively surprised. The dough was super soft. Really good! As for main courses: we had a pad thai- a classic. Really tasty and a nice portion. The other one katsu don- it was nice, but not my favorite: the chicken should have been more crispy; there was a lot of plain rice, but I guess I wanted it to have more flavor. The creme brûlée (we ordered one to share): really well done. Not too sugary and with the crispy caramelized top. There are a lot of vegetarian options. The service was nice, the staff were kind and able to make some recommendations. The place was lovely, it has outdoor and indoor tables. We...
Read moreCame here on Monday evening with a friend for dinner at 7pm. They just opened, so we were able to get seated right away without waiting.
The decor was pretty cool. I love the prints in the wallpaper, raw wood accents on the wall and the decor. The light was a little too dark for my liking. The room temperature was too warm and it felt very humid.
We ordered: Nasu Dengaku - it has good flavor, but the eggplant’s skin was too tough and chewy. Buta Miso Ramen - it’s a chicken based broth - it has pretty good flavor. The char siu was good… but the noodle was a bit too overcooked. Overall, it’s a little bit better than average, but not special enough. Yasai Soba (vegetarian stir fry noodle). I like the flavor of the noodles. I love the texture of the tofu (well done!)
I wish they have Tonkotsu ramen and karaage (for starters). Overall it was a pleasant experience. The bathroom was clean and...
Read moreI was so glad I found Nood. The quality and authenticity of Asian food in general is so much better now in Europe and I was very happy with my meal there. Having travelled most of the day I wanted a quick comfort meal and Nood did not disappoint. I ordered the Buta (ie pork) miso ramen (14 euros) and it came with a Japanese marinated egg, generous portions of pork shoulder and ramen noodles and spring onions. The broth was nice and creamy. The noodles were nice and chewy and held up well to the broth. You know the broth is good when you don’t want to waste it after the noodles are gone. Everything went well with a small pint of Superbock (Portuguese beer) for 3 euros.
They also have other dishes (eg yakisoba) I shall be back before I leave!
Patio seating available. Great service and nicely decorated decor venue - mellow vibe....
