Pisca — Restaurant in Porto

It's a great place mainly due to its location, the view is everything and the tram passing right near the terrace offers unique atmosphere. However, it tends to get crowdy, so to make sure you get the table it may be a good idea to make a reservation fisrt. The prices are okay, the menu for lunch(soup, main dish and snack) is 9.50€. As for the menu's composition, it includes a good variety of well known Mediterranean style dishes. Now that they display a digital version of it, there's a few categories, which are meat, seafood, snacks, kids menu and vegetarian. The vegetarian one is not very varied, stating dishes like burgers, but still I am very glad to find these options, especially in the area where the majority of restaurants are fish based. The taste was pretty good, It was my first time trying artichoke and I am sure I would go back just to order it one more time. The negative side for me was service. The staff wasn't very welcoming at fisrt, forgot to bring us a part of our order and in the end put the couvert in our check, which we didn't even touch. Honestly, I would not mind it if they would have apologized for it and acted nice, because of course I understand that having so many clients to attend there might eventually occur some mistakes. A very disappointing experience today for lunch. We made a reservation in person and we were the first people seated in the restaurant at 1200h and we ordered first. Unfortunately, we were literally the last table to receive our now cold burgers at about 1330h. The server seemed helpless, hopeless and disinterested though she was kind. No manager or owner ever appeared until it was time to take our money. We will not go back and we recommend that you stay away due to the discombobulated kitchen service and management.

Hello again. Thank you for spending your valuable time with such a fast reply to my original review. I realize that any admission of fault on your part is not part of your business model, but as a business owner perhaps you may want to consider asking one of your client why he had a bad experience instead of telling your client that he was wrong. The food was cold and excessively late. Your waitress apologized and blamed the kitchen for the bad service. Perhaps my times are incorrect, but I do know that the other 4 outside tables that arrived and ordered after us all had their food before us. We wait ages to have our meal. The two young waiters were nice but not the owners. They didn’t ask us if we enjoy our meal. We didn’t have our plates at the same time so se ate separately. The bill, 86€, too expensive. And one of us have to share is plate with us because at the restaurant they didn’t have anymore plates. I don’t recommend at all !
