The view is fantastic but the food is genuinely the worst I have ever had at a restaurant, short of something having gone bad. Cod tough as a leather shoe, half a can of chickpeas emptied onto the plate, a mess of shredded lettuce and a full carrot - ALL boiled to hell and back and without a SHRED of seasoning. I am flabbergasted as to how these reviews are favourable. I wasn't expecting anything fancy, nor remarkable, but I had to leave hungry (almost choked trying to get down some of the cod). Also, the plate of boiled canned goods was about 11 euros and probably cost no more than $1.50 to make. We were in a fit of laughter trying to pick through the rubber and mush on the plates. This place is fleecing people with low quality products and abhorable cooking techniques because of its stellar location. There are lots of other choices in the area for less $ but also with more delicious looking food. I would seriously warn people away from this place. The waiter was nice though! And we had a good laugh in the end - at least we left with a...
Read moreWe ate here 2 years ago and really enjoyed it. So we ate again on Sunday evening this year. It was disappointing, I regret to say. Starters were lovely. The waiter didn't write anything down and brought me the wrong main, so I had to wait. Then they ran out of what I originally ordered, Brazilian steak. I got the house steak instead which wasn't nice. My wife's food needed more seasoning. My sons octopus rice was perfect. I reluctantly give them 3 stars based on one good experience and one bad experience. Waiter should take orders correctly and write stuff down. Also a lot of dishes were off the menu, we had to choose a few times before we got something and they were out of a lot of drinks. Bella Vista would need to keep up the standard they had before...
Read moreNice view of the river and castle, romantic setting (if you eat outside). Sadly, the food is overpriced and not really that worth the price... The staff was nice and we really wanted to enjoy the experience since we were looking forward to eating there for quite some time. But in the end it was underwhelming. We had the picanha (slices were too thick, the meat was hard, but the black beans were delicious) and the octopus rice (nicely cooked soft octopus, but very mild and watery flavoured rice). We finished with two crème brulé, nice crack on the top but no great flavour underneath. Overall, there are greater dining experiences to be...
