I recently had the pleasure of visiting Basta Restaurant in Souq Waqif for breakfast, and it was an absolutely amazing experience! From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The restaurant’s traditional setting perfectly complements the vibrant ambiance of Souq Waqif.

We ate there yesterday and were pleasantly surprised. Due to the Google rating of 3.8, we were initially considering going somewhere else, but we were very hungry and decided to be spontaneous. Once we placed our order, everything moved quickly, despite some other reviews. The most surprising aspect was the quality of the food. The waitstaff were all very attentive. The ambiance was simple and unremarkable, but it had a local charm to it. We can definitely recommend trying the food here. I just recently visited Doha and was able dine at Basta located at Souq Waqif with my wife for breakfast, we had the Bagshat Basta and Shakshuka and enjoyed it so much that we had a second serving Arabic Bread😁 The flavors were incredibly authentic, We felt like we were transported to a local home here in Doha, Qatar.
