Glo Cocktail Bar — Restaurant in Doha

The worst place I’ve ever been to. Terrible service and terrifying waiters. Completely unprofessional and rude. Just few hours ago, we as group of 8 friends had been to this place. We ended up being questioned, blamed, frowned upon and whatnot. It was ladies night and we set out to have fun just as anyone else on a weekend. But what we ended up having was what I’d say the buzzkill of a millennium. It started off when the bouncer came and stood next to where we were seated. We didn’t think much of it... but after a while he took one of my friends outside and had a ‘talk’ with him in regards to the 8 of us occupying a lot of space but having not oredered much and how it won’t go well with their management. Understood! But again, we did buy our own drinks apart from the complementary drinks they were offering us! As we were about to place an order with the coupon they offered us, the waiter then says, he won’t accept it until we order something else over 70 riyals (which we already had btw atleast about 75 riyals). It’s noteworthy to mention none of this detail to rules was in their brochure. Again, we let that slide because we had more dignity than wanting to create a scene! The last straw was when another waiter saw a friend of mine having a drink (that he’d bought himself) which was right next to mine (that was from the happy hour) and went on to blame him outright for having my drink when he absolutely as heck, didn’t. I could go on and on about their horrifying service and absurd place... to put it lightly. I wouldn’t suggest this place to my worsest enemy. Stay away. Far away. They firmly believe that if you’re all suited up you’re most welcome and if you’re not, well be ready to be judged. I've been to this place twice only because it's right at the lobby of the hotel I was staying.

First visit was on a Wed (11th Dec) night where they pass on headphones to everyone upon entry to listen to the music. There were two dj's and you have the option to listen to and switch. That night wasn't half-bad.

Second night going there was Wed (18th Dec) and whoever the dj that night intends to break your eardrums bec it was ridiculously loud. Can't finish my Negroni fast enough to leave the place.

Food was mediocre for the price. Drinks and cocktails naturally overpriced for the hotel location.

Overall vibe of Glo is a hook-up place. If that's your thing then this place is it.

It is very great to get a hangover. You may come here with family or friends. This place is family friendly. But ladies' free drinks is a little scam. They give only 1 welcome drink complementary after all the drink they charged. We didn't check the bill while paying as we were very delighted with their service. I went with my friends and his wife. So they say we don't have to pay for my friends wife's drink. All her drinks are free until 1 am. We left from bar @11:00 pm. We realise next that they only gave 1 welcome drinks complementary for lady only after all drinks...
