Really disappointing and underwhelming experience from start to finish unfortunately. If you are going through a “seasonal menu change” and subsequently are missing a large allocation of menu items, it would be advisable to inform your guests upon arrival, so they can make an informed decision as to whether they wish to stay or not. First choice of starter unavailable, no further information given as to out of stock items, but given five minutes to make alternative choices. Choices re made - this too is unavailable. At this point I ask if there are other out of stock items, which there are and I’m told a list of things, some of which we had already decided on. Prawn starter has a strange texture, dish was cold. Fois Gras was also lukewarm and not overly appetising. We ordered two Ribeye steaks and a selection of sides. Was told at this point the asparagus was out of stock. The mixed veg and the broccoli were served cold. The mashed potatoes were barely warm and the steaks themselves were also served barely warm. The pepper sauce which came with the dishes was ALSO cold and very watery. When you are paying the prices this establishment has set for them, you have an expectation that the food you order will be served hot and of a high standard. Not cold, on cold plates. Trying to chew through cold fat, or cold vegetables does not make a dining experience enjoyable. This was fed back to the waiter who took the sides away for reheating, unfortunately they were returned only warm. A side of parsnip mash had been ordered, which never came, and a bernaise sauce, which also did not materialise. I asked the waiter about these and got a shrug and a shake of the head, I figured this to mean these too were out of stock. The whole experience was just poor. Then fed this back to the manager on duty, who would benefit from some further training in guest care. We were given excuses about how busy they were, that the menu was changing which is why items were off the menu, that despite a mostly empty restaurant, we had come in at the same time as some other people, which may be why there was a delay. I wasn’t looking for excuses, just the understanding that the entire experience was sub par. She did try to offer a glass of complimentary champagne and a dessert each, but to be perfectly honest, we just wanted to go. We were given a 10% discount. I didn’t want a discount, I just wanted a good meal. Which I did not get. She was quite confrontational and defensive in her approach, which only frustrated us further. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone based on...

Came for a farewell dinner for my sister and friends and was excited to try the restaurant. Overall we spent 12 thousand lei on this outing, so I was appalled at the behavior of management and at the insulting attitude and words of the Chef.

First negative point, in order to save work for the kitchen, the manager tried to convince our party of 17 to have “group entrees” and they would do a prix fixe offering of steaks at medium rare to medium” otherwise such a large party would be hard for the kitchen to handle. This was the first red flag.

Unfortunately for a place that is a “steakhouse” and offers high end specialty cuts, the kitchen is wildly inaccurate on cooking temps / finishes. 4 people at the table ordered the same ribeye at medium rare and all 4 steaks had different finishes varying from rare to medium well.

Most upsetting to me, I ordered a USDA tomahawk which is priced at 60 lei / 100g. In total the steak would be worth about 1000 lei or 200 bucks. Unfortunately despite ordering the steak rare, and the server getting my order correct, the kitchen decided to cook the steak medium rare (almost medium well).

Worst of all when I complained the manager tried to convince me that “in Romania, rare means something different.”

The wait staff was incredibly kind and polite, but that response from management was unacceptable.

Furthermore, after offering to correct the error and cook a steak “blue” for me, they offered the medium tomahawk to another diner at the table (whose steak they also messed up) and still charged 1000 lei for the incorrect steak and 980 Lei for the steak they had to re do. When I noticed the double charge on the bill and called attention of the manager, she explained that because someone else ate the steak that she offered it was a valid charge. When I continued my complaint she brought the chef out who also shouted at me about how I am incorrect and that if I want “my F$&@ing steak blue” I should order it that way. Needless to say this is not a world class restaurant and Romanian staff hate being corrected in any way. I have never been treated so rudely and will never dine here again.

Also the facilities at the Radisson blue are not up to standard. My wife had to change our baby on the bathroom counter as there were no changing areas available.

Ordered lobster for my wife which was done nicely and was delicious.

If you want amazing steak done right, go to Osho or Ferma Baciu...

Terrible service — do not go. We were first told the restaurant was fully booked for our table of 7, but when we arrived, it was completely empty and stayed that way for over an hour before they finally seated us. Staff were extremely rude and treated us differently compared to other tables — there were clear racist undertones throughout.

When we asked for the same drinks another table was having, I was shouted at and told not to point. The so-called manager even said to my cousin, “I’m the manager and I can tell you no if I want. I can see you want to argue,” speaking in an aggressive and intimidating way.

On top of that, they commented that I wasn’t “dressed appropriately,” even though I was wearing clean sandals, smart trousers, and a shirt — meanwhile white customers were allowed in wearing casual jeans and trainers without any issue. It was blatant discrimination.

I felt completely belittled, intimidated, and extremely uncomfortable the entire time. The atmosphere was tense, cold, and unwelcoming. Although the food was absolutely amazing, the environment and treatment completely ruined the experience — I didn’t even feel like eating.

The manager even looked into my cousins personal phone while she was writing a review and said, “I do not appreciate you writing this and giving me 1 star,” which was a complete invasion of privacy and totally inappropriate. It is my right to leave an honest review without feeling intimidated or harassed.

Because of the environment and the way we were treated, I am giving 3 stars for the food (it deserved 5 stars), but the service was beyond terrible. Would absolutely not...

I had the pleasure of dining at this remarkable restaurant in Bucharest, which has truly earned its place among the world's finest dining establishments. The experience was nothing short of Michelin-level excellence! Booking a table was a breeze, as the restaurant had recently reopened. Our group included individuals with dietary restrictions due to religious beliefs, specifically, they couldn't consume dairy with meat. To our delight, the chef personally visited our table to ensure it wasn't allergies but a matter of preference. This personal touch set the tone for a truly memorable dining experience. The chef's warmth and enthusiasm for his craft were infectious, and we had several delightful conversations with him throughout our meal. It's a rare and heartwarming experience to encounter someone who is so passionate about creating exceptional cuisine. Now, onto the culinary delights: The brisket slices were nothing short of perfection; they easily rank as the best I've ever had. I highly recommend trying them during your visit. The meat, cooked to absolute perfection, was enhanced by a well-balanced seasoning that complemented the quality cuts beautifully. The octopus dish was a revelation – tender, impeccably cooked, and adorned with exceptional seasoning that elevated the flavors to new heights. The desserts were equally impressive, showcasing both creativity and deliciousness. In summary, the overall dining experience was outstanding, and I wholeheartedly recommend you give this place a try. If I find myself back in Bucharest, this restaurant will undoubtedly be at the top of my list for a return visit.

They definitely know their beef and they for sure know their wines. Extensive wine and champagne list recommended by one off the cutest, nicest and professional waiters I have encountered, Oana. If you pass by the Radisson Hotel, do not hesitate to enter and visit Prime, one of the best designed steakhouses with the best Porterhouse we had in like forever. Only Prime cuts and they even have Japanese Wagyu. Andrea, the manager accommodated all our requests and seated us at the Chef's table, with a nice view in the kitchen. Thank you ladies for the amazing experience, you made us feel like royals.
