Good food, quite tasting, clear but poor in ingredients seafood soup; we mark with a big NO the tropical passion - one of the desert listed in the menu; we returned it with our comments about the quality and the smell of goat, they were proactive and released the item from the invoice, but did not recognize that there is a problem with this product; they told us that maybe we have discovered a smell and taste of yuzu in this cake - as you can read, there is no yuzu on the list of ingredients “TROPICAL PASSION (150g) (a,c,g,h) Coconut dacquoise, coconut praline crisp, creamy coconut praline, coconut passion fruit jam and coconut mousse Blat dacquoise cu cocos, crocant cu praline de cocos, crema namelaka cu pralina de cocos, gem de fructul pasiunii si cocos si mousse de cocos”; even if we address this issue again, the waiter sustained that 3 persons from the staff are saying the cake is good 🤭 on the other hand, they told us the cakes are not home made, they have an external supplier ( at this level of expectations, stars, claimed quality ?).

Read moreTo start with the positives: the sushi selection is hands down the best in Cluj, especially the wagyu and fatty tuna nigiri. Also, the rest of the starters looked really nice, and the ambiance is a very intimate one. However, the tuna steak I had as a main had a very strong fishy taste, and really didn’t taste like a typical fresh bluefin tuna. We could barely finish it, which is a pity for 260 lei. The chilli beef was good, but not spectacular.
But the thing that bothered us most was the first impression. I had made a reservation, and after waiting for 5 minutes at the entrance, the hostess finally approached us, with a very hostile and disgusted attitude. She said that I need a reservation, almost not believing that I had one and going back to check. I did not expect the quality of fish we where served here, the service was excelent and even tho for fat chef like me the place is a bit cramped and small, this is by far the best sushi I ever had. We had some very good tempura spicy shrimp and soft shelled crab, an amazing assortment of nigri sushi and a fish carpaccio. The tuna and scallops where amazing and so was the yellow tail. The shrimps in the tempura dish where the best we ever had, cooked perfectly, sweet, soft and good. Now for the not so great parts and nitpicking: the shiitake mushroom was a bit too salty for my taste but still good. The tempura batter was good but not crunchy enough and the crunchy shards wheren't that big. The eel was a bit too sweet for my taste and the charr was a bit too strong flavour wise. The charr on the sea bream skin was also too strong for my taste on the carpaccio.
