Stolovaya 57 is a Soviet-style cafeteria/restaurant tucked away in the GUM shopping mall right on the Red Square. I visited several times during my stay in Moscow.
The food is fresh, flavorful and tasty and includes all kinds of typical Russian options such as Borscht, Chicken Kiev, dumplings (with sour cream and dill), piroshky, desserts and many other items, and also drinks. The place is really well priced for the area and for about $10, one has a very good meal for one person. The staff speaks little English unfortunately, but it's hardly a problem since the cafeteria style layout makes it possible to order without knowing Russian. I would definitely go back here when I...
