We came here and asked if we could get some piadine (flatbread sandwiches) to go, because we were in a hurry to catch a shuttle bus. The staff told us we would have to wait 15 minutes for takeout and that it would probably be faster to sit on the terrasse. (Spoiler alert: it wasn't.)
We decided to wait for takeout anyway, but after a few minutes the staff forced us to get a table. This is more profitable for them, because they charge 10% for table service and extra for water.
The terrasse was packed and understaffed. The two waiters were running around trying to seat everyone and take orders. Our table and other tables around us had to ask twice if we could please place our orders.
The piadine were absolutely awful. The kitchen staff barely heated the flatbread, and the vegetables inside were soggy and fridge-temperature cold. They didn't even bother adding a bit of oil and vinegar to make the piadine less dry and bland.
Three quick 4.50€ vegetarian piadines ended up costing 29€. Absolutely ridiculous. Steer clear...
Read moreVery nice place, location wise. With a panoramic view of the tower and of the waiters miserable face; sorry to say. The tagliere misto was good, great cut of meats and cheeses. Piadine and panini were okay; edible but for sure quality for the price you pay should be higher. Tea was served with a nasty piece of lemon🙈 Location was good but the atmosphere was ruined by the waiters communicating loudly to each other. San Marino in general needs to relook their hospitality.....
Read moreDon’t eat here if you’re vegetarian. They have a vegetarian section and yet the piadina still have pork lard in them…it’s not that hard to write your menu better to avoid people eating things they are philosophically opposed to. I live Italy so this is not a comment coming from someone that doesn’t understand the country. I wasn’t so annoyed about it until I suggested when paying that’s it’s not really correct and I got zero understanding...
