Gradska — Restaurant in City of Belgrade

A place the most of "high-end" Belgrade's restaurants should be asahamed in front of! Their menu is long as my "before I die" wishlist, and not even damn Corona made them make compromise with the quality. Before you start counting my pre-experience drinks, just f* shut up and order the mountain lamb on mushrooms! If you find anything wrong with it - actually, if you do not reach a true extasy within the first bytes of it - cone over and I will personally refund your expenses! I should not be hard to find (at all).

So, why all the fuss?! For two resons only: they get only the best ingredients (and do not playbyou for a fool about it), and they do know how to make a decent meal out of it!!!

We picked Gradska based on the reviews and never has a choice been more successful than this. Not only did we have a broad choice of typical Serbian food available to us, but we also got to witness a Serbian dinner party into the bargain, with live music and people dancing and chanting along. All very loud, yes, very smoky, yes, but I do not think we would have had a more genuine chance to take part in anything like this in the more touristy eateries on Skadarlija. Funnily enough for me, our waiter - an extremely helpful and pleasant young man - kept apologising for the noise of the party, but I was definitely in the mood for something like that. We were looking for a restaurant near both the Danube river walk and the Gvint Brewery at Dorcal Platz; Gradska restaurant exceeded all of our expectations. We received 10-star service from “Charlie.” He made what would have otherwise been a pleasant meal into a fine dining experience. We enjoyed the “Gradska Perch”: two fish steaks cooked in a claypot with vegetables, as well as their mushroom caps stuffed with kaymak cheese, their homemade clay oven-baked bread (sooo good!), and also treated ourselves to french fries (perfection!), apricot brandy, and hot mulled wine (delicious!).
