It's almost useless adding yet another review stating this place is just so great, but I'm going to do it anyways ;) We had to wait 10 minutes or so to get a table for three and were told we might have to wait 30 minutes or so for our order to be ready due to the crowdedness of the place. The food came a lot faster than that, and after our first few bites we understood why everyone loves this place so much. The Protein Bowl was lovely - finally a place serving enough (and both) tofu and chickpeas in a bowl! It was not too heavy, fresh ingredients, and super flavourful. Portion size was just right for us. The katsu curry was also delicious and again, so flavourful (and that's something I often miss in restaurant food). We all wished we could try the entire menu. A lot was already sold out when we arrived (vegan gyros, California burrito, drinks, etc.). Lots of respect for the very hard-working staff that really put effort into making us feel welcome and comfortable. They were patient and polite all the way through, even at the busiest, most demanding hours of the evening. Even our dogs' water bowl was refilled before we had even asked for it. Unfortunately we didn't get to try out any of their awesome-looking homemade lemonades, ice teas, coffees, or Tibi (kombucha's cousin?) because it was closing time almost right after we finished eating, but that's only another reason to come back again!

Do you have that one friend that keeps claiming that "vegan foods are boring"? Take them to Balans Bistro and they're bound to change their mind! Delicious and very creative, their menu will surely make your tastebuds sing, even if you're the biggest meat lover! Their daily menu is always very impressive, and their a la carte selection is awesome and very street food-y. I had their quesadilla with the no-cheese sauce and it was simply delicious - the combination of different flavours was incredible. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Always a pleasure to find such a great, fully vegan restaurant! 🌱 The only thing you should bear in mind that the waiting times can be a bit longer during peak hours (around lunch).

I've read many reviews of this place and it came highly recommended by someone so I guess maybe my expectations were just too high. There were four of us. We had the sloppy joe, the Cuban, the quesadilla, and the schnitzel burger. I had the schnitzel burger and was not impressed at all. The menu described it as "crispy" but what I got was as opposite of crispy as one could imagine. It was soggy and mushy. I felt as if I was eating a wet, mushy sandwich. The person who ordered the quesadilla only ate half of it and couldn't eat more, it was no good. Apparently the Cuban was okay. The sloppy joe was the best meal. The seating was terribly uncomfortable. It was definitely not the best vegan experience I've had.

Talk my husband into going to this vegetarian restaurant He is not a fan I must say I really enjoyed my tofu veggie burger or a gluten-free roll very tasty with fries he had risotto with pea and Seitan. He liked the risotto part but not the seitan Also mango cake which was delicious he agreed on that Lucky for us we had a really nice waitress that spoke English very well Alice she was attentive she was professional and she was very helpful this help make the experience a good experience from the minute we walked in till we finished our dinner everyone in the restaurant that was professional behind the counters all were very nice if you’re a vegetarian I would highly recommend you to try this one

Honestly, I can stress enough how welcoming the place is! Also, the respect for everyone and all. They have awesome fries, great burger and interesting drinks as well. The only minor thing that was sub-optimal is that there wasn’t any service in the bill or indication, therefore I didn’t pay it. It was clearly noticeable how the young lady removed half of her smile and kindness towards to me. I don’t blame her, ok? She is working for the money, however if it is that important… it’s much better for the establishment to add at least indications / etc in the bill than to “lose the magic” by not receiving it.

The pea risotto was good, though I would have preferred more veggies in it (they were apparently also out of all the fancy decorations on the menu). The brownie was beautifully decorated. I liked the panna cotta the most. The chocolate cream on top had a bit a weird taste (sour?) and the berry whipped cream had almost no flavour (more for colour). The chai latte was delicious! Just less or even no sugar would have been nice, it was too sweet for my taste. The ginger vanilla strawberry lemonade was delicious though I didn't get much of the ginger. Found all together a bit pricey though.
