Rolo Café Snack — Restaurant in Bratislava

This place have terrible waitress. We was here twice during one night. When we came firstly, there were 7 of us. We ask if they have space for us. Waitress said no, so we ask if we could put two tables together. She said in very arrogant tone that we can if we won't block her. Maybe it sounds like overreacting but we left immediately to find another pub. We didn't find anything empty so 4 of us decided to come back. When waitress came to us again we had conversation like this : W:what do you want to order? Us: What can we choose? (we didn't know what they have) W: You have to know what you want.(still with not very friendly tone) So we explicitly ask for menu from her. So we ordered, but only one of us get exactly what he ordered........ It is a great place to rest and have a couple of drinks or even better beers when you decide to leave Bratislava's old center and discover the rest of the city. It's very near to other breweries and bistros but it is the only place nearby that it is open on Sundays. Adequate selection of beer brands (around 4 or 5 different drafts) and very friendly atmosphere, especially in the autumn where the place is heated through a vintage wood heater. Also one of the cleanest small bistros around! The only negative was that there werent anything to eat but maybe that was because we visited on Sunday. Ανεβαίναμε τ'ανηφορο προς την Ανω Μπρατισλαβα για να χαζεψουμε το Slavin, το μνημείο για τους Ρώσους στρατιώτες που πεθανανε στο Β παγκόσμιο. Ηταν Κυριακή, γυρω στις 10 και δεν υπηρχε τιποτα ανοιχτό για καμια μπυρα αλλα και τ'απαραίτητο κατούρημα απο τις προηγούμενες μπύρες στο παλιό κέντρο, οποτε νιώθεις το δράμα. Είχαμε σχεδον εγκαταλείψει οταν ξαφνικά αντιληφθήκαμε αυτο το μαγαζι ανοιχτό και λίγο δακρυσαμε ειναι η αληθεια απο ανακούφιση. Μπαίνοντας βρήκαμε μια πιτσιρίκα Μπρατισλαβιανη, κλασικά ξενερώμενη που της χαλάσαμε την ησυχια. Πρωτο respect για αυτό. Για θερμανση ειχε αναψει πατροπαράδοτη ξύλινη σομπα. Δευτερο respect εδώ. Τρίτο και καλυτεροτερο respect η καθαριότητα. Παίζει να ειναι το πιο καθαρό μαγαζι στη πολη, ιδιαίτερα οι τουαλετες. Οταν φυγαμε, γυρνώντας απο το Slavin ξανακατεβηκαμε για μια μπυρα ακομα αλλα και για να φορτισουμε (πρίζες έχει στα πρωτα τραπεζια αριστερά). Μπαινοντας προσεξαμε κατι μπαρμπαδια τουρίστες που ειχα προλάβει και ειχαν κανει το πατωμα πουτανα. Nice spot to stop for lunch while walking from the train station to the old town.

When we visited, the lunch menu was set with different types of schnitzel for about $8. The beer was also very affordable.
