Look this place is practical. It’s located dead middle on one of the busiest streets in Bratislava. This is the reason why I often find myself sitting here, and yet i can’t say I enjoy it. The coffee tastes about as well as you’d expect a 1€ espresso to cost. The croissants aren’t anything special either. This by itself wouldn’t warrant a negative review. It’s the staff that never ceases to amaze me, with their consistency at being awful. I’ve been here a couple of times already and without missing, every time I happen to be ordering coffee the baristas look at me with absolute despise. Often rolling their eyes, whilst facing me in my directly, or sighing. They talk to you cold almost annoyed. And I don’t expect to be heralded as a king when I order coffee but i’d like to not be judged so on the nose by the people i’m giving money. And then they expect me to tip. Keep in mind that I don’t order anything special just an espresso as it is my prefers coffee serving method. I wouldn’t recommend coming here when there are so many better coffee shops around. For an example: Kep’s which is nearby or simply coffee. Both of these have much better staff. To summarize this coffee shop is cheap and located very well. The food is fine with nothing to write home about and the staff is awful....
Read moreDespite the negative reviews (mostly due to the fact that you can only pay with cash), I gathered my coins and decided to visit this new Vespa location today. Unfortunately I left dissapointed for several reasons. 👎
😁 Pros: good prices in comparison to other cafes in the area fast service (served water immediately) delicious, soft croissants
😡 Cons: there's NO WIFI (not sure why I see people working here all the time and a private vespa wifi network, but the server told me there's no wifi for customers) cappuccino tasted burnt there were so many flies inside (even though it's November) the radio was playing so loud that you can barely hear the people next to you also it is kind of shady that such a big chain coffee shop as vespa/keps doesn't accept card or provide receipts in any of their locations
If you want a croissant to go, it's a great place. Otherwise, you can find a much better cafe...
Read morei am a tourist When I got to this shop I asked how much a coffee is, but in English. A woman probably didn't understand me. Then a guy who works there spoke. He seemed already in a bad mood and unfriendly when he answered me and considered leaving, but I used the coffee for 80 cents.
The staff itself was friendly, nice. The coffee is good, with water, and cheap. That was great.
but what I saw I found antisocial: a beggar had walked by, no idea what he could have done so badly, but I saw this very guy pushing him away as if he was about to hit him. It doesn't happen, as far as I know, but that was enough for me! good thing I already paid. no matter how delicious, great, cheap a coffee is there, such behavior is not acceptable! if he thinks it might "annoy" the customers, ok. but I don't need to push him so aggressively...
