Kavarna Isabella — Restaurant in Maribor

I am not used to posting reviews but the time spent in this restaurant was quite frustrating so it seems appropriate: pretty expensive prices for slovenia, probably the most expensive place we've been to across the country during our 10 days trip (8-10€ for a salad, "special summer offer" burger at 12€) the 9€ salad (only meal available, see point below) I ordered was mostly lettuce 2/3 of the menu was not available (burgers and sandwiches), we only got told once we had started ordering drinks glass of red wine was very small (about 2/3 of what one would usually expect) and pretty expensive for slovenia (4.5€), cold (stored in the fridge) and really not that good

I was deeply disappointed with both the service and the food. First, we waited 7–10 minutes before we could even place our order, as the waitress kept walking past our table without acknowledging us. Once we finally ordered (scrambled eggs with prosciutto and French toast), the food took 30 minutes to arrive — and we were already in a hurry. The staff offered to pack the food to go, but didn’t include any napkins or disposable cutlery. Yet they still charged us for the packaging. But the biggest letdown was the food itself. For nearly €8 per dish, we got scrambled eggs with pancetta instead of prosciutto, and it tasted bland and looked unappetizing — maybe 2 out of 10. The “French toast” was just two slices of bread with a piece of ham in between. Absolutely not worth the price.
