Once you fall in love with Specialty Coffee, you never stop appreciating good tastefully prepared Coffee, especially when you're thoughtfull when it comes to recognizing if the Coffee was good prepared.
One of the plusses of moving to Ljubljana was also getting Alexanders Columbian Coffee near me, right now on Fridays and Saturdays. I love the way he feels about his Coffee and the pleasure he has serving it, kind of reminds me of me hah when i was still working for HiKoFi Coffee Roasters, where Grega the Head Roaster, for the first time showed to me, was Specialty Coffee meant, in this case to him.
What does it mean for me, that a coffee was prepared well from a standpoint of a Customer, Ex-Barista? Primary that from the inicial flavour notes that you get directly from the bean, you understand, that the roast profile was established in a way that uplifts the inicial flavour specifics of the Coffee.
Secondary the Barista needs to be carefull about how he prepares the bean, for the various different methods of preparation, that he offers, having in mind weight, water/bean ratios, temperature of the water, grind settings ...
I'm always very satistified when I go to ČRNO ZRNO, I don't mind that he hasn't got the biggest place or a big sitting area. You know why you go to Alexanders place, beacuse of the Coffee and the way he serves it, with passion and love.
