The room was clean and pleasant looking, and the breakfast coffee was good.
Pretty much everything else ranged from poor to catastrophic. We managed to check into the room by a pure luck, because no one had informed us that hotel rooms and restaurants are two different things these days, and no check-in information had been sent to us. The restaurant employee deservedly said 'good for you' when I told him we had a room reservation. However, he kindly helped us into the room by giving us the key from the number box and explaining the general procedures, and was clearly frustrated for us.
When we entered the room, we were surprised by the damp and bad smell in the room, which cannot be explained solely by the location of the room in the basement. The first night we woke up with indoor symptoms, and in the morning all our luggage had gathered moisture. I don't usually get symptoms from room air, this must have been the first time. After reporting the matter, we received a dehumidifier, which reported a relative humidity of 88%. So we could have spent the night on the floor of the shower!
The dehumidifier made the rest of our time in the room bearable, but because of the noise we had to turn it off from time to time and it had to be emptied (there was bucketloads of humidity!). We couldn't ventilate either, because our window opened to the back of the restaurant, from where the refined aromas of tobacco and cooking wafted into the room. We spent the rest of the night in the room biting the bullet (and drying our wet things).
The breakfast was small and poor. For breakfast, you could choose either egg or granola from the menu. The only suitable option for my partner was "granola with fresh fruits" which was actually oatmeal, raisins and apple pieces.
We once again asked for the possibility of a partial refund, as the stay was unpleasant and caused health challenges. We didn't get any answer to this (the first time we at least got an air purifier). However, if someone who reads this review ends up booking a room, let's say that the situation in the other rooms is apparently a little better.
Individually, these things are not something we would write a review about. Overall, the lack of all information, lack of response and inhumane air quality made this the worst hotel experience we've ever had, and it's definitely not in line with the price of the place. We think we would have been entitled to even some kind of compensation that would have shown openness and receptivity from the hotel staff. Not responding to messages is also not a very good thing in a hotel with...
Read moreThe location was excellent, but I do not recommend it||The reservation was for one night, March 29-30, 2025. We had a family room for one child and three adults. We entered the restaurant and the waiter told us that our room was 3, and that the key was in the room door. When we entered the room, at first glance everything was fine. We looked at the bathroom. Towels were on the floor and scattered everywhere, the hand soap was a strange color, it smelled of garlic and sweat. Simply, it was not cleaned from the guests before us. We found a lot of hair in the bed. And a little blood on the other bed. We cleaned our hair, and lay down dressed to sleep, because we were very tired. For breakfast, we were served by a woman, whom we did not know, she was a cook, but a cleaner, but a waiter. We asked for honey, butter and bread, we got marmalade...
Read moreI think they opened this hotel in the basement because they saw an opportunity to make more money. And for this, it’s okay, but a piece of advice here, please focus on customer service by hiring more staff as they are understaffed and it delays the services. The rooms are not the same size as advertised; they are small and look cheap. There is a small fridge over the desk, and when I open it, the smell of something rotten makes the room smell really bad. There is no access for disabled people. The breakfast was included with a menu, but as they were understaffed, it took ages for us to get our breakfast. Be prepared to pay extra for extra coffee if you want it. There is no WiFi, so I hesitate to say or complain about things in my room because I think they are understaffed. I stayed there just...
