A Flavorful Delight: Riksa's Unforgettable Indian and Wok Cuisine!
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Riksa, an Indian restaurant in Ljubljana, and I must say, it was an experience to cherish. The Kadhai paneer and Dal Tadka were absolutely delicious, reminiscent of homemade goodness. The flavors were expertly balanced, and every bite left me craving more.
The following day, I ventured into Riksa once again and was blown away by the chow mein and vegetable roll. The chow mein was a delightful combination of fresh vegetables and perfectly cooked noodles, while the vegetable roll was a culinary masterpiece, with a crispy exterior and a delightful medley of vegetables inside.
Beyond the incredible food, the caring service provided by the staff was truly commendable. They went above and beyond to ensure that every guest felt welcomed and satisfied.
Riksa is a hidden gem that deserves all the praise it receives. With its authentic flavors and delightful wok creations, it's a must-visit for anyone seeking a remarkable dining experience. Prepare to be enchanted by the flavors and leave with memories that will have you...
Read moreWe had a good meal last night...we ordered a wide selection All enjoyable...flavour is different to traditional Indian food. I wanted to try their vindaloo...as its uncommon to find a chicken vindaloo. It was ok...I noticed loads of chilli flakes...for the added heat...but I'm not sure whether it's meant to be this way in Nepal...or whether extra hot curry powder is used. Seems like a short cut to add heat but I'm not sure. Will have to check online for recipes. The naan, momo balls & lassi were all enjoyed!
No issue with service, waiter was helpful.
One thing we all agreed on was the lighting/atmosphere...its all super lit up and not cosy at all. It's missing that so to the owners we suggest lowering the lighting, getting some plants...changing the interior as it feels like you're sitting in a cheap student takeaway. I think at some point I heard club dance music too? So while you can sit down and eat, it's not really inviting for...
Read moreWe tried Butter Chicken, Garlic Naan and Tibetian Noodle Soup. The worst butter chicken I have ever eaten, even the rice was bad! Their Garlic Naan is like a joke too. They first brought normal naan and than said if thats okay. They changed it after we stated we wanted garlic naan by just adding pieces of garlic on top (without any butter or oil) and cooking it more until it partially burns :)) My friend equally hated the noodle soup and couldn’t even finish, even after adding a lot of soy sauce to make it at least taste like something.
I travel a lot and eat indian food often, this was by far the worst food me (as a tourist) and my friend (slovenian) have ever tried. I have no idea how people said anything slightly positive. I normally don’t leave reviews, but I just want to prevent other people from being as disappointed and unsatisfied as we are. If you want to try indian food, try any other restaurant and you will have a...
