If you are not Muslim or if you don't arrive wearing a hijab or dressed as a Muslim woman should please do not even attempt to enter this restaurant. Yesterday we had the WORST experience EVER! When we were going up the lift a family that was leaving the restaurant said to us, you can not dine there without a reservation. Since we saw that the restaurant was not full, we still went up and asked for a table for 6, 3 adults, 3 children under 10. The waiter TOLD us the restaurant was strictly Halal and no alcohol was served. He kept emphasizing this even though we told him we did not consume alcohol. As we walked in we received the most degrading stares from patrons. This is not the fault of the restaurant but we soon understood why. The restaurant is not welcoming to none Muslims and the patrons are in shock when someone that is not part of their religion walks in. We were whisked to a HORRIBLE part of the restaurant, intentionally excluded from Muslim patrons. We soon realised this part was reserved for Black patrons. The waiter came to take our drinks order and reminded us AGAIN that alcohol was not served! The kids needed to use the bathroom and we were told that the bathroom was out of service and needed to use the mall toilets outside the restaurant. Clearly we were not allowed to use their toilets. The waiter then gave us menus and pointed out that we needed to wash our hands before eating. As much as we are respectful to a religion that is different from ours to go to the extent of imposing it on us was wrong. We then realised why the family at the lift told us we could not go in without a booking. The restaurant gatekeeps who enters. If you do not have an Indian or Muslim surname you will never get a reservation. Patrons are fully aware this is a Muslim haven and have been guaranteed no other race or religion will dine with them hence the shock on their faces when we got in. Guys, there are lots of restaurants at Melrose Arch. Just don't go where you are definitely not wanted. Respect 'their' sacred space and just don't go. Respect and love yourself enough to know and be able to tell that you are not wanted in a restaurant!

Ordered Falafels and Foccacia, lovely starters.
Foccacia was light and crispy. 10/10 Falafels were fluffy on the inside and came with a thin yet tasty laffa bread. 8/10
For mains we had a Spicy Asian Prawn Burger with chips, Mixed Grill Platter for 1, Alfredo Pasta and the Tempura Crunch 8 piece.
The Prawn burger was extremely bland and the prawns inside of the burger were very oil soaked. 4/10 The Grill Platter was nothing to write home about either, asked for the steak to be well done and it came out medium, the Prawns were cold but the chicken was good and flavourful. 4/10 Absolutely nothing wrong with the Alfredo, Penne pasta done perfectly and the sauce to accompany it was great. 10/10 The Sushi was an absolute let down, no crunch whatsoever and could barely taste the prawn, the cream cheese was too overbearing. 2/10
DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING PRAWN RELATED AS YOU WILL BE LET DOWN.
Drinks weren't anything special, ordered a Coffee Freezochino and a Passion fruit and Lemonade. They were both okay, no other comments.
Service overall wasn't good, our waiter took long to get our orders in and was barely there to assist us, food took even longer to get to us and the atmosphere in MiHa was extremely uncomfortable, I'm led to believe it was due to ethnic profiling as upon glancing at other tables service was far greater to certain groups rather than all, this completely ruined my day and overall dining experience.
2/10 would not recommend, perhaps If service was better i might have said something else. Very disappointing results for such a hyped...
