I tried Relish for the first time today after seeing it pop up a few times on my TikTok. A friend also sent me a post about it recently, so we decided to go check it out together.
I must say, I really like the convenience of the location — it's attached to a garage and has a small store, which makes for quick and easy shopping if you need to grab something on the go.
The layout and design of the restaurant are really appealing — modern and clean, with a cosy vibe that makes you want to sit down and enjoy your meal. There’s a good mix of seating options too—outside seating if you want some fresh air, inside seating that’s comfy and well laid out, and even an upstairs area which adds a nice touch if you’re looking for a bit more space or a different view.
The food is strictly halaal, which is great and makes it an easy choice when going out. Price-wise, I do think it’s a bit on the expensive side, especially the desserts. They looked amazing, but I feel like they could be more affordable.
For my meal, I ordered a cheeseburger with chips. The burger itself was nice — I enjoyed the flavour, although I wasn’t too fond of the bun being slightly burnt. That was unfortunately the main taste I picked up with each bite.
The chips were okay, but they were a bit too oily for my liking and didn’t have enough spice or seasoning, which made them feel a little bland.
Overall, I think it’s still worth a visit. I’d definitely come back to try something else from the menu and give it another shot. The atmosphere, service, and concept are lovely—it just needs a few tweaks to make the food experience...
Read more2nd time visiting and was absolutely disappointed for a 2nd time. After picking up family from the airport time being Midnight everyone was freezing on 1 of the coldest nights and everyone was hungry as nobody had supper. We decided to come get food here. What a big mistake. The pizza prices for the size of the pizza is a rip off to say the least. Yes it's tasty but it's not filling. The tables are dirty and people that use them are arrogant and look like they are never taught to clean up after themselves. Like seriously did parents not ever teach theor kids cleanliness and how to take your empty boxes and cans or *cups and throw them in a dustbins provided. Further more half the person's occupying the tables were not even eating a meal there, maybe just having a cold drink or coffee etc, inconsiderate and didn't give a damn to those of us that needed a space to actually sit down and eat, between a cramped tight space everyone had their bites and came home. Let's not discuss the fore court to fill fuel. You lucky if you can even get in to the filling station for 1. And number 2 is the wait to fill fuel. Never seen so many rich kids attracted to a filling station before. Just standing around outside or inside. So fascinated to all be just there in 1 place like flies. Pathetic for patrons to behave in this manner. There literally a mall up the road if you want to chill and stand around doing nothing. 2nd time around, same dissatisfaction and...
Read moreMy sister and I was super excited to try the Relish, having travelled it reminded me of similar places I had visited around the world, and was convenient as it was around the corner from her work.
Like most in the area we went over the lunch rush. First the dishes we wanted was sold out which we can understand as it was lunch, however when we finally ordered what we could from the selection they had, we waited over one hour for the food to be ready.
The woman at the counter (apologies I did not get her name) distributing the food was clearly overwhelmed as the orders that went out was coming back to be redone or replaced. Every time she tried to get the attention of Mohammed, the Chef in charge, she was dismissed or reprimanded for mistakes that was not even hers to begin with.
When the hour was up, we walked to the counter to enquire when our food will be ready as my sister’s lunch hour was now finished. Mohammed walked up and asked the woman at the counter what the problem was, instead of asking us the customer, furthermore while he was enquiring, he was on his mobile phone the whole time.
This is extremely bad customer service. Being in the hospitality industry myself, I know there are things that happen beyond your control, however not addressing the customer when you are the person in charge, and letting the staff be beat up speak to...
