Was recomended this place by my friends when they visited here years back. Such a disappointment. Food was meh. Overpriced. How does an omelette (eggs + salt) cost as much as a soft tofu stew? Even an abalone rice porridge? All at 10,000won. Ridiculous. The soft tofu stew has a quite diluted taste. The beef fried rice (also 10,000won) looked like it was just rice stir fried with minimal dark soy sauce and minimal mince beef topped with an omelette. My friend refused to give any comment on that dish except “This will be the first and last time we’ll eat there”. I guess that summed up his experience. I had the seafood ramyun (10,000won). More soup than noodles. Came with 1 prawn and 1/4 crab. The hot stone pot bibimbap was 12,000won. My friend said that the kopitiam in her workplace back home makes better bibimbap. Food was one thing. Service was the other. We were served by 2 malaysian staffs. 1 lady and 1 man. The lady took our order. We weren’t ready but we got pressured to give our order as she gave us the impression like we’re wasting her time by browsing the menu too long even though there’s nothing much on it. Food was served by the man. Normally, staffs will asked who ordered a certain dish and put that dish specifically at that customer’s side of the table but this staff didn’t. He just left it at the edge of the table and walked off. Mind you one of the things we ordered was a Hot Stone Pot Bibimbap. This is not an acceptable service. I’ve been to Korea over 20 times and this kind of experience is a first. Makes it even worse when they’re Malays cuz I’m a Malay myself. They also have a chicken place but you cannot ask the staffs to order the chicken for you if you want to eat at the restaurant. You are to order them yourself but at least the chicken place staff will deliver it to you...

Rating: 1/5
I'm writing to express my outrage and disappointment at the abysmal service I received at Busan Jib Myeongdong during my recent visit with my family on 7th December 2024 between 1900-2000hrs
Our waiter was rude, unprofessional, and utterly inhospitable. From the moment we sat down, he seemed put off by our presence, and his demeanor only deteriorated from there.
But what really took the cake was when he started to rush us, clearly trying to get us to leave as quickly as possible. It became apparent that we were being indirectly "chased out" to make way for a Malaysian family who arrived after us.
To add insult to injury, when we went to pay, the waiter asked us to pay an additional 10% service fee. We were not informed of this fee beforehand, nor were there any signs indicating that paying via card would incur this extra charge.
This "hidden" fee felt like a blatant scam, and it left a sour taste in our mouths. The fact that we were rushed out of the restaurant and then hit with this unexpected fee made our experience feel like a complete rip-off.
Furthermore, the prices at Busan Jib are already exorbitant, and the quality of the food does not justify the cost. The portions are small, and the dishes are unremarkable.
When confronted about his behavior, the waiter became defensive. I have attached a photo of the waiter in question, taken with his acknowledgement, which clearly shows his demeanor.
I have also recorded a video of the incident, which can be provided upon request.
Unless the management takes drastic steps to address these issues, I would strongly advise against dining at Busan Jib. There are far better Halal restaurants out there that offer superior food, service, and...
Read moreI recently visited Busanjib, a restaurant known for its halal cuisine. While the scarcity of halal food options in the area could explain the higher prices, I hope the owner considers making the menu more affordable. In comparison to other halal shops in Itaewon, the price difference is quite significant.
One of the major downsides of my experience at Busanjib was the lack of consideration for families with babies. As a parent visiting the restaurant with my little one, I was disappointed to find that there were no baby seats available. This made it quite challenging to enjoy the meal comfortably while taking care of my child's needs. I would strongly suggest the restaurant to invest in some baby seats to accommodate families.
Additionally, the location of the restaurant posed another issue. Busanjib is situated in an alley where many people gather to smoke. This created an unpleasant and unhealthy environment for families, particularly those with infants. It would be beneficial for the restaurant to designate a smoke-free area or consider relocating to a more family-friendly setting.
On the positive side, the food at Busanjib was indeed halal and of good quality. The taste and flavors were satisfying, which is commendable. However, the overall experience was overshadowed by the inconveniences faced due to the lack of baby seats and the presence of smoking in the vicinity.
If you are traveling with just your spouse, you might find Busanjib to be a suitable option, given the tasty food they offer. However, for families with babies, I would recommend exploring other halal dining options in the area until Busanjib addresses the...
