I can't comment on the food because I didn't stay to eat. The service and atmosphere was not acceptable.

My Mother is disabled and they required her to wait outside for a table to open up. I'm surprised to say the least. I've been to many countries with a lot of people and small spaces but this is the first country that has required my disabled mother to stand outside in the rain.

I also brought it to the staff's attention that the person who wrote their name ahead of ours literally shoved her way in and pushed my Mother out of her way. A male staff member switched our positions.

So we wait and then still this offending party got a table before us.

I highlighted to the staff that we were meant to be seated before they were.

The staff said that a two person seat opened up and so they seated that party first.

I reminded them that this person pushed my disabled Mother out of the way to get her name on this list. The staff member didn't seem to care.

I’ve went to another location of this restaurant in the spring and I liked it enough to want to try it again. But this was a dissapointment. I don’t know if it’s the franchise that dropped the quality of the food or what happened, but it was nothing special this time. I waited 20 min before moving the rice in the bowl & it wasn’t crunchy, the beef stake was a bit bland & the kimchi I remember not being my favorite from the 1st time. But what annoyes me the most is that, because it’s in a very tourist spot, a lot of people without any taste buds go there & hype it up, resulting in a huge score. They would also give you a coke if you post a 5* review so I guess that s why you see such a positive feedback overall. Also the service seemed to be a bit annoyed by the fact that we came to their place. Actually it's not a real pan rice (sotbap:솥밥). It's not hot at all. Cause if this is an cooked rice. Downside should burn little bit. I found there is no burn rice at all. (Look at the right side photo. It's real 'sot-bap : 솥밥' at different restaurant around here. See water is boiling after rice moved.) As a local, I happen to go to a famous restaurant as a tourist destination, and foreigners, unfortunately, downgrade it to 1star even though I could have given it about 2stars. This restaurant is a typical tourist destination that looks spectacular It takes at least some effort to eat proper hot pot rice. It's good to go to a place like wild grass 들풀 near Cheong Wa Dae.
