Kind of a strange place, at least from my perspective as a European that eats a lot in Italian restaurants. Mano di chef in italian means „Hands of the cook“, was there an italian chef? Kind of expected that but haven‘t seen one. Only saw Asian staff, all masked, not outgoing, quiet, did not make me feel very welcome.
Also it was really difficult to find the place, first the building entrance, then the elevator. Only the 11F in the address gave the hint in the elevator what button to push. Nowhere there was a logo or Mano di chef written.
For the good part, the food was actually really tasteful, the only thing that really felt italian. The view was also very nice.
Don‘t get me wrong, I understand we‘re in Korea but still, they could have done more to play the Italy game. Other restaurants in Seoul and Asia (BKK and HKG for example) can...

Read moreA very disappointing dining experience. The food is overpriced for the quality and portion size, absolutely not worth the money. Even though the restaurant was almost empty, the dishes took a long time to arrive. No one bothered to inform us that some of the dishes we came for were sold out – we only found out after ordering. We ordered shrimp pasta, which arrived with the heads and tails still attached – very unpleasant, especially for a dish served with cream sauce. Handling the shrimp like this was messy and uncomfortable, and there wasn’t even an extra plate to put the parts you don’t eat. As usual, yet another “renowned” chef restaurant turns out to be a big disappointment. I will definitely never...
