Neungrado Myeongdong Branch — Restaurant in Seoul

We were wondering what to eat (3 of us) and realised that the review of this resturant is great with a 4.5 Star rating, noting that the operation hour is from 1100hrs to 2130hrs, we decided to try this resturant.

We arrived the resturant at 2000hrs,and was told that last order is at 2030hrs, immediately we placed our order and all order was placed before 2015hrs food came to us in a short while and we have our food, but we were told by the staff (a lady waitress) at 2050hrs after checking our watch that the resturant is closed and we need to leave. Without delaying and we pack up and go and explaining to them that the operating hour in google is wrong and they need to update.

I had explained patiently to the lady staff who have changed her uniform that last order is at 2030hrs and they need to give us time to finish our food, and on top of that the operating hour is stated at 1100hrs to 2130hrs and why they have to get us leave at 2050hrs? She explained that 2130hrs is the time when all the staff leave the resturant and they have to start cleaning and pack and leave at 2130hrs.

She also stated that they come to work at 0930hrs to set up and open the resturant at 1100hrs, with that i told her that she have to tell her management to change the operating hours from 0930hrs to 2130hrs, which is the staff working hour. OPERATION HOUR is the time where the resturant stay open with 2030hrs as the LAST ORDER. Staff should start cleaning up after the last customer leave (before 2130hrs) not rushing customer off at 2050hrs so that they can clean and pack and lock the door at 2130hrs.

This review might go to nowhere and management might not even bother, but as a consumer we have the right to voice our concern or unfairness.

This is definitely my first time and my last time to visit this resturant. the food is ok but i will not think it worth the 4.5 Star ratings, i think it is 3.5 instead.

Sorry for being lengthy but this is the worst experience I have after regular visit in Korea for the past 20 years. Please do note that the OPERATING HOUR of this resturant is from 1100hrs to 2100hrs, do not go to the resturant after 0730hrs. This is my word of advice. Thank you all...

Pyeongyang cold noodles were too bland for my liking, and I'm someone who usually eats pretty bland stuff. But can tell that it's still really good quality stuff. Dumplings were really big and juicy. Pork slices were also good quality.
