Babuhska's — Restaurant in Adeje

Pity I can't give zero stars for this shocking place. Any positive reviews must be written by the owner/ workers.This place is openly hostile to customers.We went this morning for breakfast and a coffee, a mother and 3 kids. The woman serving is downright & openly rude and told us to WAIT. So we did... and we waited.... and waited. Watched her throw a couple of menues down on the table to another family at a different table and I knew we should have walked out then but I decided to stay just to see.... people sitting with dirty plates and cutlery not cleared away but sitting there waiting for woman to finally decide when she's going to clear it all....you can tell people were annoyed but too reluctant to complain. We waited longer and she still couldn't be bothered to even give us a menu. You could see other customers were getting tetchy but still sitting there with typical British reserve and sucking up the rudeness and lack of basic manners instead of holding the owner/ server accountable for her lack of basic civility & common manners. In the end I got up and left, we went elsewhere for breakfast and I taught my kids a life lesson that when it starts of rough in a cafe, or any eatery then just leave because it's going to be like that the whole way through. My advice to anyone reading this is don't visit and don't part with you money with such an ignorant owner/ worker who treats you like a disgusting inconvenience, but glady takes your money. There are plenty of other places you can get a coffee, drink or a snack that will welcome you and treat you properly as a paying customer who's entitled to decent service. We work hard for our holidays so the idea I'm going to pay someone to treat me with contempt is beyond laughable. I agree with all the negative comments on here about " Babushka's'. The waitress has completely forgot about me, it took 45 minutes just to get coffee, I finally ordered food after an hour of physically being there. Table next to me sat down after me, finished their drinks and lef, another table sat down and were already eating before I got my coffee. When I asked the waitress why am I being ignored, that I would like to get some service, instead of apologizing, she rolled her eyes and called me a liar to my face, and said same to other customers who overhead the conversation. This has been the worse service I have ever experienced in my life, still sitting here waiting for my food, an hour and 20...

We came here day one, had a toastie, drinks and burger and fries. Was okay, came back day two, no beef burger, only chicken, I ordered a baked potato with ham and cheese, girl could not understand even what a glass of white wine was. Anyway chips hardly cooked and my potato was a cheese and ham toasted sandwich but too much bother to complain..... Anyway decided to risk on day four, no burgers, no chips, only toasted sandwiches. One of us is diabetic and has to eat otherwise wouldn't have stayed. No point in even putting menu out. Usually have a couple of drinks...
