Gran Maison — Restaurant in Adeje

Ten of us went to this restaurant at the end of March 2022. We asked the waiter to split us into five separate families to make paying easy. We ordered drinks which were served apart from one family which they forgot to serve, after catching the waiters eye this was resolved. The orders were taken for the meals which took one & a half hours before we received the food which was only main meals. When it came to paying the man that beckons people to come inside the restaurant came across to collect the money, I said I wanted to pay by credit card. He brought the said machine over to me & was rude & arrogant when I asked for my card back. This restaurant was recommended to us but we would not recommend it to anybody else, therefore we will not be returning. If this was just me & my partner in this situation we would have walked out. Absolute waste of time,took them 35 mins to bring a Fanta which they got wrong and gave us a €7 orange juice made the waiter aware it was wrong and got ignored, we then ordered another drink off 3 different waiters all to be ignored and never got the drinks but they some how appeared on the bill, both of us ordered steak which was horrendous, side of garlic potatoes €4 we got 5 halved cubed potatoes you would give more to a baby. All food completely cold, vegetables raw not even cooked, When brought up to the waiter he said why didn’t you tell me earlier, I did point out to him I called him over multiple times to be ignored. Don’t waste your money go elsewhere even the chicken shop across the road has better service🤣

Stumbled across this place by accident. Was asked by the manager to have a look at the menu as I was walking past. I said no at 1st but without him being very pushy he said no pressure but perhaps you may like to eat another night. So I thought why not? I had a look at the menu outside the restaurant and to be honest I quite fancied most things on the menu. Plenty of meat dishes ,pizza, salads ,fish, and pasta. I returned the following evening with my wife and son(15 years old). Had a lovely meal pork in a mushroom sauce double cooked chips and vegetables. My son had the largest pizza I've ever seen and the wife had a fried chicken, chips with side salad. Reasonably priced with a very relaxed feel about the place .
