To say we felt embarrassed was an understatement We’ve been regulars here for over 9 years eating here every Xmas and the foods always been decent however It’s was always been on the expensive side ,,, The service use to be better but in the last few years they have hired a new waiter and he’s attitude is appalling none the less we put up with it as we don’t like confrontation,, We came Wednesday and Thursday but when we returned Friday for our usual breakfast /lunch ,we were stopped at the door and told we could not enter because a different group of (Irish people) had caused trouble the night before ,, He continued to explain I know the group wasn’t you but you still can’t come in ,, shocked and wanting to resolve the issue,, we asked obviously you have cctv..and you can put this matter to bed right now,, Truth was there was no other group ,, I believe there was no trouble and for that reason no cctv ( just our local food spot taking a dislike to us ) And since yesterday’s breakfast /lunch ,, we was told they now have a booking system but couldn’t explain how to book (a couple walked in whilst stood there and was sat down without this new booking system ) He then told us come back after the Xmas season 😂 (This is racism and ethnicle cleansing at its best)
We feel bad that we have to boycott this place as it was a kind of a tradition even with the staff being rude we’d still go and eat
Bills were always paid and tips left We’d even help clear the plates when the waiter seemed in his usually rolling eyes mood .. Irish pub not accepting Irish
Temple bar Costa Adeje ,, you should be ashamed of yourselves for being so small minded in a 2025 society were racism no longer...
Read moreI really enjoyed the Temple Bar. Contrary to some reviews I had a very good service from all staff members. The Guinness was very well-kept. A special mention to Liam who was entertaining on my last nights vacation, he was absolutely amazing! He sung a variety of songs to suit the crowd, Irish English and other nationalities. There is something very special about his voice the tone, range, timing. He has a very likeable character and was like a magnet to his audience keeping them captivated throughout his performance. He has got great sense of humour and sang with a smile. There was also a modesty in the way that he performed which made it to even more of an impact as it’s nice to see a performer so talented but humble.Unfortunately I had to leave shortly before the end as I had a flight to catch. I did not want to leave because I was having such a good time and out of respect to Liam. I managed to raise a hand clap on my exit. He acknowledged taking a bow whilst playing a song. I will see him again when I return for sure, even I if I have to travel across the island to do so. He...
Read moreWe were a group of 6 people, 1 irish, 4 locals that aren't fluent in English and myself. We have to address that we felt a bit discriminated, like it's only a restaurant for Brits and Irish people and we couldn't help feeling like an inconvenience to the staff and even to the patrons that were looking at us like we were exotic things (we were not loud or rude to anyone, so I don't get the looks), in particular there was a moment when we called the waiter to order more drinks and the waiter gave us a bit of a rude signal, the waiter didn't speak spanish, so at the end they changed with another waiter that was spanish and was better for my group. The food is ok, we enjoyed the spicy chicken wings and the garlic bread, but sadly I think they are only used to have a Brit clientele, which is a bit of a shame because locals also can enjoy irish and...
