Dropped in about 8pm, it was about half full but certainly not busy. Ordered drinks and got the food menu from a friendly waitress. Ordered two mains, steak & kidney pie and chicken goujons. It was clear that that food was being made to order and brought out one table at a time, there were only 2 staff - one cooking and one serving. I had finished my drink and couldn't get the waitress' attention until she brought my food but ordered another at that point. The pie was excellent, goujons were average and not the best we've had. Chips were a bit disappointing as we've had some really good home made ones recently and these were frozen steak cut ones like you get on a Chinese takeaway! Read moreVisited the scotch the first Sunday we arrived and booked a Sunday lunch, we had no issues very nice, the following Sunday we booked a table the day before for four of us at 2pm when we arrived we were told that there was no Yorkshire puddings and Turkey left, we decided that we would leave and go elsewhere, on doing that all we heard was the waiter shout out allowed from the kitchen they have f........g cancelled, now all we wanted was a Sunday lunch with a Yorkshire pudding that we had booked the previous day, when you cancel due to the failure of the restaurant you should not be humiliated by the supposed professional staff shouting aloud through the restaurant. Nice food if organised but unfortunately you advertise for Sunday lunch and that's what you...

On my visit last week the waitress, she looked exhausted, but was pleasant enough. This week still looked exhausted, and not a lot to say. I waited patiently for my food, out came a man with my order, didn't look in my direction, watching the football on TV all the time. On the way to my table, he stopped to discuss what was happening on TV with another customer. After a lot of comment he just leaned over and dropped the plate on my table. Needless to say I didn't leave a tip. Scots beware you are not supporting a Scottish business. I will be going across the road...
