Ibérica Restaurante — Restaurant in Adeje

This was our worst experience in Tenerife, despite high ratings that this restraunt has for some reason. Maybe it is more of a evening place, but when we came for late luch at 3 pm, the place was empty. The atmosphere in the place is not very cosy because it is located in the supermarket and along with the sea view you see supermarket elevators around. However, we are most dissapponted with the food and service. The waiter was arrogant, and displayed unwillingness to answer questions about meniu details, maybe we have ruined his siesta time? The food was far below average compared what we tasted in other places with rating 4*. I ordered tuna stake from meniu a la carta, and it was like refrosted, overcooked, my partners lamb was very average, sauce was not delivered. Starters were bleak taste - no spices. Since we were in a hurry for a plane, I notified the staff 40 min. in advance (with the first starters) that we have a deadline to leave the table. Despite that the service was super slow, we got our stakes 7 minutes to our deadline.. Did not finish it. And there was no time for desert, which was included in the meniu price. Overall great restaurant with amazing food. Let’s start with the bad first, this place is very hard to find, the Google map will not able to locate this place. It is in a plaza with the no name. It is not on the top floor but the second down from the stop floor. The best way to get there is to take direct lift all the way to the top of the building then walk one floor down. The restaurant takes for ever to serve the food, not a huge issue as most people are on holiday. But man we waited and waited. Is worth the wait though. The good, everything else is good. Some very tasty Spanish authentic food, the garlic shrimp is the best I had. The Rabbit dish also delicious. White fish was very fresh and perfectly cooked. Very big portion and well priced. We finished everything though. Drinks also very nice. The staff are friendly. The set menu with 3 courses is unbelievably cheap, we didn’t get it as we want to try different things, the table next to us got it, very good...

Don’t bother to eat here. Some bread and the wine was quick but the starter took 30 mins to arrive which was only scrambled eggs with mushrooms and cold salmon. Then another 1 hour 30 mins for Lamb shank and Lamb chops. Firstly the food was so salty you could not eat it.Second the 4 people on the next table said they arrived at 8pm and did not get their food until 10pm. There were only 10 people in the restaurant. Third you could hear kitchen staff and waiter constantly shouting at each other. The first was nice the main couldn’t be eaten. We complained to the head chef but could have been the owner. He said there was nothing wrong with it and refused to give us any discount even though he could see that we did not eat the food. He be came arrogant and sharp saying we were wrong so we paid the bill and left.

I will vote with my feet and never go there again and suggest if you don’t like salty food and a 2 hour wait you will avoid this...
