Review for Google Maps:
Today, we visited the restaurant “Baku,” located by the sea in the Los Cristianos area, on the fourth floor of a shopping center. • Accessibility: The restaurant is accessible by escalator and elevator. • Seating: There were available tables in the evening without prior reservation. • Food and Price: A skewer costs around €15, and our dinner for three totaled €45, which we found very reasonable. • Parking: Parking can be challenging, but this is expected in a tourist area. • Comfort: The restaurant has wind protection, so it’s not too cold, even on windy days. • Barbecue Setup: They have the proper license and a professional grill exhaust system, allowing them to prepare authentic barbecue dishes. • Service: The service was quick and efficient. • Drinks: No draft beer is available, only bottled options. They also didn’t have sugar-free Coke. • Tea: The tea was excellent and served in a traditional Turkish style. • Amenities: A high chair for children was provided, and the restroom was not inside the restaurant but on the same floor, and it was clean.
Overall Impression: We had a good experience and will...
Read moreWe came here a few years back and had some amazing food that I had been dreaming about having again. Finally we made it there, but this time, I feel like we probably could have had a better experience if we spoke some Spanish or Russian. 😆 Pretty sure they moved one stall over on the terrace, (maybe new management?) and the menu was quite different than last time. The dumplings with broth were great, so was the fried tongue with cheese, and the pickles were amazing. Dessert was also awesome (recommended by the server, don’t ask me what it’s called but it was like a Creme-schnitt but more soggy in the best way, and the Georgian white wine was acidic but tasty and I would get it again. We probably would not order the mixed fried chicken & squid plate again, and we only ordered 1 but 2 arrived (we didn’t complain, and we were hungry so we ate most of it). I reckon it’s the least Russian thing on the menu, but with an onion allergy we had to play it safe since our server spoke minimal English. Lots of other tables got amazing looking food so definitely coming back for more, and maybe asking the other tables what...
Read moreHad a walk past this restaurant in the afternoon and after looking at the menu we decided to give it a try that evening. We were greeted by the very lovely, friendly and helpful Victoria who took the time to chat to us about the different traditional meats, salads and what food options might be nice for us to try given that we have never experienced this style of cuisine. With the help of Victoria, we decided upon the Meat Pan (lots of grilled mixed meats with potatoes, pickles and onions) it was absolutely amazing! So very tasty!!! We also had a beef shawarma wrap which was very tasty and a Olivie Salad which was utterly delicious! Not what we expected but such a tasty surprise! Our experience at Baku was nothing short of amazing! Very tasty food, VERY friendly and helpful staff (Thank you Victoria!!) and although we didn’t see the Chef, massive compliments to him too for the most wonderful tasty food! We will definitely be returning!! Give this place a try! You...
