Monkey Beach Club — Restaurant in Adeje

Me and my friends visited for my friends birthday and attended the event for Utopia pool party. We were greeted and shown to our table promptly with a nice view and shortly after the drinks were brought over. As to be expected the drinks were quite expensive but in the warm weather and there being a good atmosphere and speedy service we didn't mind.

The music was good and helped to create a good atmosphere and the pool was great to have a nice cool down in. After 2/3 hours into the party our group started to run low on drinks so we tried to order more. We quickly asked for someone to take our order and were told someone would come over shortly. After 20 minutes of waiting no one came over so I went to the bar and waited for another ten minutes to then be told to go sit down and again they would come over in a minute. After waiting another 15 minutes and seeing various staff stood round chatting doing very little we started to get fed up so me and another friend went to the bar to be finally served. I took a picture of the receipt so me and my friends could split the bill easier later and it was a good job I did.

Anyway after ordering the drinks and food it took half an hour for them to bring over the new bottle of spirit with the mixers. Half the food then followed 15 minutes later, but me and my friends were left wondering where the rest was and to be told it's on the way. After waiting another half an hour no food came and we had to ask the manager where it was who then came and counted our plates and asked for proof of receipt. The food then took another half an hour to come. The food was nice but by time it came was starving.

This bar is walking distance from my hotel so was of course a obvious choice.

On my first visit I was told my table was reserved, enough though there was no reservation sign and the bar was practically empty. A few moments later a group of 3 arrived and they gave them the table even though they didn't reserve it. This was a little frustrating but we had a drink and left.

Again tonight we went to the bar at 11pm. At the door a lovely gentleman was asking if we would prefer the bar upstairs as downstairs was QUIET & CLOSING very soon. We decided to stay downstairs and had a seat. Again the bar was empty, maybe 3 tables at most and again we were told the table was reserved. We politely asked the waitress why and she couldn't answer us.

We will not be returning to this bar, the customer service is shocking. I don't believe any table were reserved at 11pm when they are closing, they simply just didn't want 2 people sitting at a table for 4 people, which I would understand if the bar was busy but as usual it was quiet.

Worst experience in tenerife so far, would not recommend to anyone. This is the bars loss as I was going to order a bottle of Moet to celebrate...

I bought tickets for enzo is burning and arrived at 22:30, the place was relatively empty so i got my drink which was extortionate but for the views of the beach and the setting i thought it was fine. About 15 minutes later i head to the bar to get another drink only to be ignored by staff for no short of about half an hour, i decided i would buy 2 drinks due to the long wait but at 23:20 i thought that is a ridiculous wait for a drink for an event that i paid for. Safe to say i will never be back due to staff simply ignoring me at the front of the bar for close to 25 minutes, i have no issue waiting in line for a drink but being ignored for people repeatedly coming up beside me is a joke. Everyone behind me and beside me was getting served but i must have missed the memo. The minute i put my money in my wallet and turned to leave suddenly everyone can see me and tries to serve me.
