DISAPPOINTING CHINESE FOOD

The atmosphere is unpleasant, the lighting is terrible, similar to a cheap grocery shop, not a restaurant. The place needs refurbishment or new ideas to create an atmosphere. Staff are dressed very casual, as though going to the market themselves, not for a restaurant.

Only 1 dish was 3 STARS, the Duck. The rest 2 STARS and so this why I’ve scored an overall 2 STARS.

I’ve been eating Chinese for more than 30yrs and this was definitely not a memorable experience. The food lacked depth of flavour and freshness. The ‘Grilled off pork with Chinese sauce’ was terrible. The pork tasted as though cooked 1 or 2 days ago; very dry. The Special fried noodles were bland and wonton had absolutely no flavour at all.

service was very slow even though we were the only people in the restaurant. eventually came to take order, brought out drinks and then food came out very fast, too fast, can not have been fresh! waitress decided to poor half a can of coke into wrong persons glass without checking. food was terrible, hair found in chips, egg fried rice had carrot and ham in it, should have been plain egg. hard bits of something in rice, bone found in chicken chow mein. when we told waitress she laughed and said it was chicken thigh not brest so thats why, it shouldnt matter, it shound NOT have a big bit of bone in it! prawn crackers were stale and chewy. lemon chicken was deep fied in old tasting oil! chicken curry was watery with alot of oil in it, not sauce....

I been eating here twice and once I took take away. I had the same meal twice, arroz Frito and cerdo picante. To take away I ordered "threw fried rice... Ham, egg, carrot and peas. Cerdo picante means means fried rice and pork with hot sauce. It tasted what I expected from a Chinese restaurant and that's why I choose chines food sometimes when I travel because I usually get what I expect. Both time when I was there they had about 10-12 guests at the same time, so it seem to be a popular place. The staff are good to and know English and Spanish. Staff is Chinese and French/Spanish.
