Was in this restaurant 2 days ago because of the recommendations here. Don't understand why people praised it. Ordered the mixed seafood plate and it was below average. My husband who was a fish lover didn't want to eat the fishes. The quality was not good, probably the restaurant chose very cheap fish. The couple next to us who ordered paella was not enthusiastic with theirs either. But it was the other table of a family with 3 kids that makes me give it 1 star. The father complained to the service that his steak was too tough and he had ordered medium. The service said something which meant it's like that. He didn't apologize or give the customer another plate or anything. The family left very dissatisfied. All of us go there on holiday for fun. I'm so sorry for the family of 5 who ordered much and still was not treated with manners. We talked with the service afterwards and got to know that the owner is Chinese. Not a stereotype, but most Chinese are stingy in choosing the best ingredients for their guests. Personally I suspect all El Rincon restaurants belong to...

The portion size was great, and the salad was really nice with olive oil and balsamic vinegar dressing. The mojo sauce was not the spiciest I'd had, but it was still super tasty.
I also appreciated the fact there was an outside non-smoking area, with smokers placed to the side. I kind of resign myself to the fact that sitting outdoors will be really smokey, and you still get wafts, but it was much better than other places.
Staff were quick and helpful, the music was nice and quiet/relaxing. Overall a very chilled out experience and I'd recommend it to anyone who enjoys a more laid-back dining experience while still close to...
Read moreThe place isn't far from the beach, a few tens of metres maybe. It's in a quiet location on a pedestrian through-way leading to the main promenade. It's a restaurant that offers a medium sized menu specialising in seafood at dinner and seems to cater to an unassuming down the earth British pallet for breakfast & lunch. That's not to say it doesn't have tapas and Spanish dishes, just that breakfast is of the full English persuasion and there's an extensive selection of toasties on the lunch menu. Regardless of the type the food is very good, we've never had a bad meal there. We had breakfast ....full English and a bacon, cheese, egg & chips toastie. Pint of beer and a coke. 13 Euro......bargain. Staff were very polite and efficient. It's in a very competitive area so it has to be...
