Dining at Garibaldi Restaurant was the highlight of my trip to Tenerife. Established in 1988, this iconic restaurant has mastered the art of blending authentic Italian cuisine with a warm, inviting atmosphere. From the moment I stepped inside, I was captivated by its charming decor—rustic yet elegant, with soft lighting, vintage touches, and a cozy Mediterranean vibe. The staff greeted me with genuine warmth, setting the tone for an unforgettable evening.
The menu is a celebration of Italian culinary tradition, crafted with fresh, high-quality ingredients. I started with the Burrata Salad, where creamy burrata paired perfectly with ripe tomatoes, fresh basil, and a drizzle of olive oil—simple yet exquisite. For the main course, the Homemade Seafood Linguine was a revelation: al dente pasta tossed with locally sourced clams, prawns, and squid in a rich, aromatic tomato sauce. Each bite was a burst of flavor, showcasing the chef’s expertise. The Tiramisu, a recipe unchanged since the restaurant’s opening, was the perfect finale—light, creamy, and beautifully balanced with espresso and cocoa.
What truly sets Garibaldi apart is its impeccable service. The waitstaff was attentive without being intrusive, offering excellent wine pairings and thoughtful recommendations. The manager even checked in to ensure everything was to my liking—a rare touch that speaks volumes about their dedication to guest satisfaction.
Beyond the food, Garibaldi carries a sense of history and passion. Over three decades, it has remained a beloved institution, and after just one visit, I understood why. Whether you’re craving classic Italian dishes or simply seeking an exceptional dining experience, Garibaldi delivers on...

Read moreWe had dinner at Garibaldi with high expectations, but we left deeply disappointed. Although the ambiance is pleasant and elegant, the quality of the food and the attitude of the hostess left much to be desired. The beef steak, ordered "medium," was brought to the table "medium-well," even bordering on "well-done." This is a fundamental mistake for a restaurant of this caliber. The seafood pasta was a real letdown. The "seafood" consisted of exactly three clams, lost in an excessive amount of tomato sauce that was dominated by a strong taste of burnt garlic. The dish was unbalanced and far from refined. A particularly unpleasant moment occurred at the end of our meal. The hostess who had seated us formally asked how our dinner was. When I tried to offer honest feedback, after she encouraged me to speak openly, her attitude became defensive and indignant. She criticized me for not returning the dishes immediately, excusing the kitchen's mistakes with the line, "that's what happens when you cook, sometimes you make mistakes." This completely unprofessional approach shows a genuine lack of interest in customer feedback and in improving their services. With the exception of the table service, which was prompt and professional, the overall experience was negative. Garibaldi seems to be an overrated establishment with unjustifiably high prices for the culinary quality it offers. You pay for the ambiance, but in return, you receive mediocre food at best and an inappropriate attitude when you dare to point out a problem. If youn want someting mediteranean go to Bianco...
