We were looking for a spot on the beach front for lunch. There was a guy sitting alone with an empty cocktail glass. We asked if he was leaving. He was, but had been waiting a while for the bill. So he decided to pay at the bar and free up the table for us. The waiter came shortly after and asked if we wanted more drinks. Clearly didn't know that the empty glass was from an early patron. Anyway we ordered drinks and when they arrived we ordered lunch. We finished our drinks while watching the surfers. We noticed people at the table beside us, who arrived after us getting their lunch. After fruitlessly trying to get the attention of the staff I went to the bar to enquire about our order. They didn't have any record of our order, however the waiter (not the one who had served us earlier) was very apologetic and our food arrived fairly quickly. I was a bit disappointed that the Iberian ham was from a packet, not cut from the leg onsite, like all the other restaurants we had visited. Eventually we got the attention of the staff for the bill. My wife told the waiter that they needed to pay more attention to their customers, at which point the waiter got a bit indignant, claiming that it was very busy, however by this time 1/3 of the tables were vacant. We ended up spending over two hours here, one of which was waiting for our first order. No offer of a free drink or anything similar to compensate for forgetting our order. Great place to watch the surfing, but there are better places...
Read moreDecent atmosphere and sea views. However, we asked to order our food alongside our drinks as we had already planned what to eat and were hungry, but we were told by the waiter that we can't order food until after we order our drinks, which I found strange. Food was OK, however the margarita pizza had a pitiful serving of cheese on it, although it did come quite quickly. Perhaps I would have preferred to wait longer and receive a cheesy pizza. Lastly, once we asked for the bill and it was brought over, no one came over for 20+ minutes to take payment, after which the 2 tables next to us had asked if they could pay their bill, and no one came to take payment for another 10-15 minutes. We finally had to walk up inside and get someone's attention to ask to pay the bill before we finally able to do so. Overall, the experience was OK but I will not be going back, we simply felt like they did not care for us...
Read moreI went to this beachside restaurant twice the first was time it was good the second time it was aweful.
The first visit was for a full English breakfast (picture attached), the meal and service was excellent and at 3.95€ was really good value for money,
The second was later in the day when the restaurant was much busier and the service was aweful. I waited 15 minutes before I was asked to order and waited a further 15 minutes for the drink to come, I ordered garlic chicken which turned out to be diced chicken fried in a litlle garlic with chips and a spoonful of baked vegetables, this meal took 45 minutes to arrive and I waited a further 15 miniutes before they brought the bill.
Picasso is in a great location on the Paseo with a large beachside sitting area with more staff to deliver better service it would get much...
