From the moment you step into Fàbrica Moritz Barcelona, you're not just entering a brewery, but a slice of Catalan history reinvented for the modern palate. Nestled in the vibrant Raval neighborhood, this establishment is a love letter to beer aficionados and a testament to the city's ever-evolving gastronomic scene.

Historical Charm Meets Contemporary Chic:

The transformation of the original 1856 brewery into a sleek, modern space is nothing short of architectural alchemy. Jean Nouvel's vision breathes new life into the historic walls, creating an environment that's both edgy and welcoming. With its exposed brick, gleaming copper brew kettles, and artful lighting, Fàbrica Moritz is a place where the past and present coalesce into an experience that's uniquely Barcelona.

A Culinary Journey Through Suds and Bites:

At the heart of Fàbrica Moritz is its beer, notably the fresh, unpasteurized Moritz, which is as smooth and lively as the atmosphere. The extensive beer menu includes experimental brews that push the boundaries of traditional flavors, inviting you to explore the craft in depth.

The food menu is a companion to the beer selection, with offerings that range from classic tapas to inventive dishes that challenge your taste buds. Each plate arrives with a suggestion for the perfect beer pairing, making every bite an adventure. The "Patatas Bravas" here are a revelation, and the "Fuet" is the perfect accompaniment to a cold pint.

Service With Passion:

Service at Fàbrica Moritz is a reflection of Barcelona itself—warm, informal, and exceptionally proud of its heritage. The staff are not just servers but ambassadors of the Moritz brand, ready to guide you through the menu with recommendations that reveal a deep knowledge of their craft.

The Heartbeat of Barcelona:

Whether you're a local or just passing through, Fàbrica Moritz feels like the heartbeat of the city. Its central location is easily accessible, inviting you to drop by after a day of exploring Barcelona's many wonders.

Final Verdict:

Fàbrica Moritz Barcelona is more than a brewery—it's a cultural hub, a celebration of beer, and a culinary delight. It's a place where every detail is curated to enhance your enjoyment, from the ambiance to the aftertaste. Whether you're here for the brews, the food, or the history, you're in for an experience that captures the essence of Barcelona. So here's to Fàbrica Moritz—salut i...

The place isn't meant to host romantic dinners, instead it is perfect for noisy, happy groups of people, families celebrating, friends meeting after years. The place is spacious, extending to three, continuously connected spaces. The walls are painted in a warm red that contrasts pleasantly with the dark color and the severe lines of the furniture. It could well be mistaken it for the dining room of a college in its minimality and the sparsity of decorative elements. In the center of the space there are, enclosed in a glass patio, the remnants of the brewery that occupied in the past the same place. To tell you the truth, I am not the right person to comment on the quality of the beer brewed here. I never liked beer and never managed to at least get used to it. But I have friends who are really 'addicted' to it and they assure me, that beerwise this place it is worth the visit. I liked the food. It is the array of popular tapas, well prepared. I especially liked the 'ensalada rusa', the Russian salad and the hamburgers. I was delighted with the young, black cladded crew, its staff, as they were in good mood and smiling 😉 Dogs allowed and...

Terrible experience during our team building activity. We booked and paid in advance the guided tour around the brewery and the dinner for the entire team, and the day before someone got sick and we had to cancel 1 person out of 16. We got there, and not only they didn't offered the beer tasting anymore during the tour, but also the service during the dinner was the worse I ever had in Barcelona (and I am a local). They ensured us we would get the money back of person cancelled, BUT the following day they refused to reimburse it. They also put us in separate tables, and never helped to put them together, also we sent some dietary requirements (vegetarian, glutten free, etc) and they didn't prepare anything in advance. Also they brought the desserts (ice-cream) while we had all the plates still on the table and no one came to clean, so all the ice-creams were served melted due to all the wait. Really bad experience and a shame for an iconic place in Barcelona like this one. Also, the food, totally overprized, and they are not picking up the phone to express our bad experience and get our money back as...

After a tiring day with my friends, we visited this place to lift our spirits, and it was the perfect choice! The place had a trendy vibe, both inside and out, and was already bustling with people. Despite being busy, the staff were incredibly friendly and even shared some jokes with us, making us feel very welcome. We ordered a sampler of their various beers, which allowed us to taste a wide range. The food was also exceptional, with each of us ordering different dishes that were all delicious and unique – the presentation was incredibly creative and interesting. The beer sampler consisted of four glasses, ranging from light lagers to rich stouts, and all were of excellent quality, truly showcasing the best of craft brewing. And the food! It was so tasty that we enjoyed every bite with our beers. We're already planning our next visit, hopefully during the day so we can take a tour of the brewery. Highly recommend!

I guess if I were to put down my experience down to one word, it'll have to be "underwhelming". When we arrived after 7pm it was quite empty so you can get seats thereabouts. We were seated at a uninspiring location which was a sign worse things to come. Service was perfunctory and no one seemed interested that they were working at a brewery. When asked about a brewery tour, our server seemed clueless. Note that at this time, it was quite empty. The food we tired - mussells and beef main dishes were mediocre at best. I was especially disappointed with the mussells which had a number of unopened shells, and the sauce had a tinge of bad stench in it. I tried the beer flight which was ok. The stout and the original are recommended. The kumbucha was poor and tasted like it was watered down. In all, after going to a number of breweries around the world, this was a big let down.
