Hamburgueseria Goiko — Restaurant in Barcelona

I went here with my Catalan family. It was a pretty poor experience from start to finish. We'd pre-booked a table for 6, the host audibly sighed when we went to the desk. Not a great start.

They came to take our drinks order and told us the kitchen was busy, all the while taking huge orders out to Glovo delivery drivers...maybe choose an audience if you can't service everyone?

I'm English, my family are Catalan. There were two vegans in the group. Why, oh why, oh WHY have they got a burger that has a "plant based" chicken patty, "plant based" cheese, and ingredients "plant based" and then put it in non-vegan bread (contained dairy or eggs)? What's the point?

To second this, if someone is ordering the staff should ask if you're vegan or not because it's just plain confusing. Either have it vegan or take it off the menu.

When the food came, the "plant based" burger came with fries (were they planted based/vegan who knows, were they booked in the same fat as the chicken) and it came with a chipotle sauce, we asked if the sauce was vegan and was told it was by our server. After eating it for a bit, something felt off. We asked another server, they didn't know, and asked another server who also didn't know. It took them 10 minutes to find the allergens list and confirm it has egg in it. There was a small apology but they just looked more annoyed it had been pointed out.

The offer of one coffee was appreciated by the girl who was in training (she's probably the future manager as was the only staff member who seemed bothered about customer service) but after you'd just fed two vegans non-vegan food, it seemed a bit of a pointless offer.

To add insult to injury they'd added some random items we hadn't ordered on to the bill at the end.

We won't be coming back here in a hurry! Probs best to avoid if...

Després de llegir algunes resenyes i de la puntuació que tenia en aquell moment (4,9), tenia forçes expectatives en aquest restaurant especialitzat en hamburgueses, així com la extensa oferta i la possibilitat de demanar hamburgueses veganes, i la veritat és que he sortit decebut.

D'entrada ens comenten que la cuina està saturada i que haurem d'esperar una estona; ens prenen nota de les begudes i a partir de llavors esperem uns 15' més.

Això és fins a cert punt comprensible tenint en compte que és diumenge i que surten moltes comandes per domicili. Potser ho haurieu de tenir en compte per dimensionar la cuina i el personal en hores punta. Amés aquestes situacions estresen al personal, situació gens recomendable per als empleats que involuntàriament ho transmet als clients.

Érem un grup de sis persones, i tots vàrem demanar opcions veganes.

Les hamburgueses porten patates com a guarnició i una salsa. Preguntem a una de les cambreres si la salsa era vegana i ens diu que sí sense dubtar-ho. Com no vam quedar convençuts, tornem a preguntar a una altre cambrera i ens diu que no ho sap però que ho aniria a consultar. Un cop feta la consulta ens diu que la salsa porta ou, i que es l'única salsa que utilitzen per a totes les guarnicions de totes les hamburgueses, siguin o no veganes. Es disculpa i ens ofereix un cafè com a detall de disculpa.

Les hamburgueses he de dir que estaven bones aixi com l'amanida. Plats generosos en quant a quantitat (per això les 2 estrelles de valoració).

En el moment de pagar, ens presenten un compte que no és el nostre, reclamem i ens presenten un altra en que hi ha un plat de més que no hem demanat, finalment ens presenten el compte correcte.

No acostumo a posar resenyes negatives i quan ho faig sempre perquè serveixi per millorar. En aquest cas crec que si voleu (GOIKO) tenir oferta vegana, heu de garantir que aquesta ho és al 100%, és a dir, no només l'hamburguesa, sinó tota la resta: patates (no fregides amb olis que s'hagin utilitzat per altres aliments no vegans com a pollastre per exemple), salsa feta només amb productes vegans, etc.

També és molt important que tot el personal estigui format per saber els ingredients de tots els plats que es serveixen per evitar mals entesos o problemes d'intoleràncies o al·lèrgies i que puguin orientar als clients en tot moment per a qualsevol dubte amb...

This is the newest Goiko in Barcelona, located in a Shopping Mall, it's a good addition, having in my opinion a way better service (and prices) than Five Guys. I wanted to try the new smash burgers, as they're advising them quite a lot, and I wasn't disappointed, very good quality, but a bit too greasy. The fries were more cold than usual, but I didn't complain, as they were still ok. I tried the cheesecake frozen for dessert, it's quite pleasant and more balanced in terms of sweetness than the original one. The only downside for me, was the unusual amount of mosquitos in the restaurant, I literally killed two during my meal, plus the ones that were biting me.
