I got addicted … I think I set a record at how many times I went here, while on holiday for 3 days in Barcelona we stayed round the corner from honest greens and I made use of it, located perfectly on las ramblas always well stocked and organised, l used the app which was easy to navigate and by the end of my trip even had enough stamps for a free bowl late solo and with my family while in another country felt safe and welcome, there was road world outside on my visit but google maps helped me find it not far from the market Made my Way through every options and even went to other stores around the city which was great to eat in or take away
It was the spring menu when I went and In this store I had the falafel market plate with grains, bread and shared sweet potato fries (a must) with my family followed by the red velvet and miso cheesecake
The avocado super green with Mediterranean rice, then me and my family had bread crudités and house hummus with brownie and matcha cheesecake
Herb tofu bowl to take away with truffle potatoes, guacamole, bread and grains plus the chocolate duo and vanilla cupcake Wild Mediterranean with seasonal veg, bread Plus choc protein ball and acai chia pot Roobios soda
I went for breakfast too and got the xl coconut Yog bowl with my family plus the tumaca and chia pudding and ginger orange juice
Tofu burrito and overnight oats I loved the concept and structure, the food came fast and fresh, you can watch them make it and clearly labelled / visuals as l'm autistic very helpful as you can talk on the app which felix and David were a star in helping if I had any worries
I'm vegan and would of found eating around the city difficult so glad to rely on the plant based options
I had all the dessert while there too and stand outs were vanilla cupcake (tasted like Nutella) mocha brownie (best l've ever had) love the chia pudding / açai and all the protein balls plus the banana bread and cookie I took away for...
Read moreHonest Greens is a haven, an oasis, for vegans and vegetarians, very reasonably priced, with freshly prepared dishes, primarily organic, local produce, and the menu is ninety percent plant based. I ate here a number of times when I visited Barcelona, Spain, this summer (2025). Always delicious. Being vegan, it was difficult to find vegan food in Barcelona, but Honest Greens was always fresh, reliable and satisfying. They have great vegan desserts too including Macadamia Nut cheesecake! This restaurant is conveniently located, just two blocks from Plaça de Catalunya, and is air conditioned. Seating at this location is primarily at communal, long tables, shared by everyone, with lots of plants around the large windows. I recommend Honest Greens for all, vegans, vegetarians and omnivores. I hope to visit some of their other locations when I’m traveling around. A platter I consistently enjoyed, is called a veggie platter, which includes a green salad, a homemade slice of bread, and two sides for 8.95 euros. I chose sides of baked sweet potatoes, with tahini sauce, and roasted white potatoes, with a thick, and creamy, plant-based tzatziki style sauce and fresh dill. I added an additional side of really delicious, freshly prepared, chunky guacamole for 3.45 euros, and a bottomless, cold, variety of fruit infused waters, for 2.65 euros. My photo, below, is of the delicious “veggie platter”. Their philosophy is a commitment to fresh, organic, chemical free, unprocessed foods, with no preservatives. Everyone can find something delicious, fresh, inexpensive and satisfying here. And with their wholesome food principles, they are a good business to support and...
Read moreThe interior of the café is quite nice and has a pleasant atmosphere, though it’s not the most comfortable space to sit in. Some of the seating - especially the sofas - they were very dirty, and the chairs weren’t particularly comfortable either. The upstairs area, which was closed during our visit, looked much more comfortable. There are toilets on both floors; the one on the second floor was very clean.
As for the food, it was nicely presented but just okay in terms of taste. Nothing was particularly memorable. I was slightly disappointed with the pancake - while I didn’t expect it to be overly sweet, it was rather bland. A drizzle of honey or syrup would’ve really helped bring out more flavor. The fresh fruit on top was a nice touch, but overall the dish lacked balance.
The coffee and green tea latte were both pleasant, though again, nothing special. Still, we enjoyed them. Prices were reasonable, especially for Barcelona, and the food wasn’t that overpriced compared to other cafés in the area.
The staff weren’t especially attentive or friendly, but they did their job. It’s also worth noting that the ordering system might confuse some people - there’s a self-service kiosk where you place your order, and it clearly displays the menu.
Overall, if you’re in the area and looking for a refreshing spot to grab a coffee or a light bite, it’s a decent choice. While the food and service didn’t stand out, we still enjoyed...
