La Querida, or the darling in English, is a restaurant on Passeig de Pujades, a few metres from Parc de La Ciutadella and a ten-minute walk from Arc de Triomf. While walking around Barcelona, we came across it by chance and decided to go in.
The restaurant has a small terrace and several tables inside. I highlight the large table in the middle of the room, ideal for large groups who want to have a relaxed meal full of conversation and fun.
We were received in a very warm and friendly way, where we were given the menu, which we went through backwards and forwards.
The group immediately became aware of the craft beers and the most varied drinks that exist in one of the corners of the restaurant, which give a very beautiful and trendy effect to the place.
To eat, we ordered vegetarian and meat tacos, a hamburger and hummus. The drinks, of course, couldn't be more, or less, than local beer. With the heat, everything was very good and we couldn't be more satisfied with everything we ate during our meal.
Whether it's a more composed dish or some tapas, La Querida is a very nice and extraordinary restaurant for those who want to have a relaxed, happy...
Read moreFood is good. With regard to the staff I‘ve got diverse feelings. I had breakfast here for six days (Hotel next door). As I only eat plant-based, the guy (owner?) offered me an avocoda-baguette, which was amazing. Every other day he saw me he asked: The same? Place was clean, there was oat and soy milk, enough orange juice etc. Really felt comfortable. Then I was there for dinner once, there was some other staff, impolite, inattentive, keep talking to each other without checking on the customer … Same the last morning of my stay.
So would be a really nice place to be if it was always staff like the ”guy”. That‘s why the place still gets 4 stars.
Will leave some tip here for the accommodating part of staff- Hope he...
Read moreI regularly come to this place, as I live nearby. It used to have a great service. Since the new waiters, the service is just very bad. They don’t care about clients, me and my family sat at the table and waited 20 minutes just for someone to notice us and bring the menu. At the terrace there is broken glass bottle, that they did not take care to clean. We ordered some tapas and drinks, we had to remind the waitress a few times what we ordered, half an hour still waiting for our drinks and food, while writing this review. Used to be a great place,...
