When the sun shifted, we decided to sit here, and we were lucky because it happened to be happy hour. This made our visit even better, as we could enjoy delicious cocktails at a great price. Each drink was perfectly mixed, refreshing, and full of flavor, adding to the relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. The food was absolutely perfect. We started with a plate of delicious anchovies and a beautifully prepared salmon tartare. Both dishes were fresh, flavorful, and expertly made. Every bite was a delight, making it clear that the kitchen pays great attention to quality and presentation. With such a great start, it was inevitable that we would place another order. The combination of tasty food, well-made drinks, and the pleasant ambiance made it impossible to leave just yet. The service was friendly and attentive, ensuring that we had everything we needed throughout our visit. Overall, this was an excellent experience. The timing, the setting, and the quality of both food and drinks were spot on. It’s the kind of place where you can easily lose track of time while enjoying great flavors and good company. Worst place i have been in my life...im over 40s and we were 3 people and im the youngest...we were rudely asked for passport/ID card from "security" guys standing outside but we just thought its protocol of the bar and we didnt complain or anything we just went to bar to order our first drink of night after a whole day of work...after that since there was a lot of tables outside same entity of Rei de Copes with people outside sitting and having drinks with glass, i asked the "security" if we can go outside and he said NO and i asked if we can pay extra or something and always very polite i wasnt looking for problems...then this main "guy" turned very aggressive and he told me that im really drunk after spending a couple of drinks over 70e and i didn't have even a sip out of it and he told me that i cant go in not even to get my things and it can be verified by cameras...we only went there cause Karma(bar next to it) was closed and i think nobody deserves that treatment thank god there was police in front cause for sure we would have get beaten up for no reason....for me is a NO go for anyone VERY DANGEROUS

We circled the square once, looking for something off the main road to avoid eating too close to cars. It was the first place to hand me an English menu and start describing a few of the dishes. We sat in the shade, making for a nice 1:00 lunch outdoors. Servers and host were friendly and prompt. Food was good; ordered spicy potatoes, calamari, cheese board, fish and chips, and flank steak. Nothing to knock your socks off, but nothing was bad at all. It all came out within 10-15 minutes of ordering (big plus for me sitting with two tired children). My Negroni was well balanced with good happy hour pricing. Overall, I’d go back mainly because the food was good, fast, and service was attentive and friendly.

DO NOT COME HERE if you are visiting Barcelona. They will try to BULLY YOU in to paying almost 200 Euros for a few drinks. See more details below.

I came with a group of 20 to this establishment and we were seated fairly quickly, which was nice especially considering the size of our group. Some of our group ordered from the bar and brought their drinks outside to tables they sat us at while others ordered from a waiter. Later I went inside to order 3 drinks from the bar because the waiter was extremely overwhelmed.

I paid 20 Euros at the bar for a beer, cocktail and a coke, and then proceeded outside to our tables. The bouncer stopped me at the door and said I couldn't bring the drinks outside because I had to pay for them (all spoken in English). When trying to explain that I had just paid for them at the bar, the bouncer then proceeded to only speak in Spanish and get the server involved. I explained that I had paid for the drinks and was with the group sitting at the tables directly in front of the bouncer (who all proceeded to wave, showing I was with them).

A Spanish speaking member of our group came over and explained I had paid for the drinks at the bar and was with the group. THE BOUNCER THE PROCEEDED TO TRY AND BULLY ME IN TO PAYING 160 (MORE) EUROS TO BRING THE DRINKS TO OUR TABLE.

Absolutely DO NOT come to this scam of a bar, they WILL do everything they can to rip you off. They will yell at you in Spanish and try to bully you in to paying absorbinant amounts of money for reasons they make up on the spot.

Very bad system of security at the entrance . I am a black person who got discriminate at the entrance in front of everyone . Attitude unprofessional from the security personnel. The whites get to go inside but black like me can't enter because the security personnel told me that it a private party. I was with Asian friends who they didn't let us enter in the "private party". Yesterday there no private party in the the pub. My Spanish friends who accompany me get to enter but when my turn came I couldn't go inside because now turned into a "private party". I am gay too and my friend is a transgender Asian girl. So if you are abnormal in these way. They don't let you go inside because it a "private party"

"Private party"= only white and non gay clients can enter. I am a devote who does dancing activity at the temple of Iskcom which is located 50meters from Rei de copes. You can see me dancing and singing every week on plaza real for Haré Krishna with the group of devotees from the temple. May be that the reason why I was not allowed to enter Rei de copes because I sing in the name of my God. As a black gay with a transgender girlfriend I don't have problems to go inside temple of Iskcom which is next to Rei de copes. But when I go to Rei de copés for party, the security told me it a "private party". Which is a lie , my other friends who were Spanish...
