❗️I’ve lived in Barcelona for 7 years and as a big foodie, I’ve tried nearly 180 brunch places — so here’s my honest take❗️
Price vs. Quality:
The food quality is absolutely average to tasteless.
Coffee and milk are terrible quality.
Every single plate was chipped, and some plates even smelled like eggs.
For these prices, either the quality of the food needs to be higher, or the prices should be lower - owners, you have to pick one...
It’s clear the owners spent money on a professional photoshoot for Google, but please - invest in good quality ingredients instead!!!
What we ordered:
English breakfast: sausages were pre-cut (I have a good guess why), overly dry/old ( either from the fridge or someone else’s plate..), cheap beans, and old, dry, stale toast bread
Berry pancakes: looked great for photos, but that’s where it ended — tiny, tasteless pancakes, a sweet, tiny portion of jam, cheap canned whipped cream, and dry granola sprinkled on top for decoration (why?).
This place clearly targets tourists or tries to look "Instagrammable" (with cheap chinese fake plants and furniture), but they completely forget that people still have taste buds and go there to eat.
I’m honestly shocked it has a 4.9 rating — those reviews are either bought or mostly left by tourists with low expectationa
I know this area is growing and really hope more real Barvelona brunch places will be open here as I will never visit it again and rather walk 15 minutes to Poblenou.
The only positive!
The service – the waiter was genuinely kind and attentive. 5 stars...
Read moreWe visited the place for dinner, and at that time only sushi menu was available, so the options were a bit limited, but we still managed to find something we liked. We ordered miso soup, but it lacked flavor, so we didn’t really enjoy it. We also had fried chicken gyoza and chicken strips — both were very good. Then we tried salmon maki, tuna tataki nigiri and salmon and tuna sashimi — all were great, especially the sashimi. From the rolls, we had the California roll, definitely recommend it, and the Prawn Crush roll, it was good, though we liked it a bit less. For drinks, we ordered wine and a Pornstar Martini — both were fine. Service was friendly, the only thing that felt a bit off was the ginger served in separate packets, not very convenient. We sat on the terrace, which had a nice vibe. Overall, we had good experience, tasty food, so this is a pleasant place...
Read moreExcellent service, great food. Staff was amazing. I ordered the Healthy Green Bowl and my friend the English Breakfast. The bowl was great, it tasted amazing! However, the oranges were cut strangely (round) so I couldn't really eat them with the dish. I did not deduct any stars for the restaurant not having gluten-free options, but I was disappointed that the chicken had breading, which was not mentioned on the card. (According to The Fork this restaurant serves gluten-free but I guess you have to ask about it because the menu does not mention anything about this.)
We sat outside so could not really judge the atmosphere - but inside looked really cute...
