GUSTO PREFERITO | Pizzería Italiana Barcelona — Restaurant in Barcelona

I spent 5 months studying abroad in Barcelona and I have to admit that since I spontanously went into Pasta Madre for the first time it became my favourite restaurant in Barcelona. The pizza is absolutly amazing as well as the staff. The price for the pizza is more than okay considering the prices you´ll find all around Barcelona. Additionally I haver never waited there for a long time and even during the nighttime it was always full. The pizza couldn´t be any fresher and you can select yourself what you want on your pizza. Like wow, i really like their concept and you should really try their pizza buffala with spicy salami it´s to die for. Actually if you go there many times, they eventually remember your order. I dragged several friends to the restaurant and they were in love with the food as well....

A delightful Oasis of delicious New York style pizza at the top of Las Ramblas, manned by an impressive young group of friendly workers who obviously take pride in their craft. Service is a bit slow, but the cooking is very fast. The pizza tastes very close to home - in my case, that means New York.

If you're American this Pizza will be very welcome memory of home after you've taken more than your share of Paella the previous days. Much better than other pizza places on Las Ramblas -- others will charge high rates but serve poor quality food, but definitely not this place - Pasta Madre truly is the perfect combination of value...

The wife and I ate at Pasta Madre during a city break to Barcelona.

We had lasagne and garlic pizza main which was delicious and fresh.

For dessert we were unsure, our waitress Zinelo recommend at least one dessert should be the tiramisu. This turned out to be an excellent piece of advice, we shared a tiramisu and a chocolate pudding.

I am not a tiramisu fan, however I tried a spoonful and it tasted amazing. We decided to share, much to the disappointment of my wife who wanted the tiramisu to herself!

The food, service and price here is excellent and I can recommend Pasta Madre.
