Visited last Saturday 8/7 for some food. Very disappointed with the food & service. Very overpriced for the quality of the food. We got 2 pasta dishes - my dish the pesto dish was very bland and nothing special considering it was in an Italian restaurant.
We ordered the ‘focaccia’ but we’re not made aware that this was a focaccia tart and resembled par cooked dough & a raw fried egg on top.
The service was worse than the food - the restaurant was not busy considering it being a Saturday, many tables around me had finished their food already . It took 25/30mins to receive our food. I have been to many Italian restaurants & usually you receive bread or something at the start however we didn’t receive anything like that. There was also no offer of salt/pepper or Parmesan (which is usually offered in an Italian restaurant too)
In fact , the waiter didn’t ask once if we were okay for everything and if we were enjoying the food. He also didn’t clarify that the focaccia was not a focaccia and it was some bizzare take on a classic Italian bread . A good waiter will inform the customer if the food items are different to how they are read.
It was clear I didn’t enjoy my food as I didn’t eat it & still - no questions or care from staff.
This place is way too overpriced for the quality of the food - €16 for pesto pasta that doesn’t even have much flavour is ridiculous!
Plenty of other amazing tasty Italian restaurants in Barcelona with friendly service &...
Read moreSecond visit here, first time was excellent (4 star) Second terrible (1 star). Hence the 2 stars
We were a table of 5 and 2 dishes took so long to come out everyone else had finished eating before they even arrived. Probably 45 minutes when the first carbonara took about 5 minutes and came with the starter breads.
Two of us ordered the calzone which came out and was just a pizza, so be careful of that. It also said it was topped with spicy charcuterie, but it seemed to me it was mushroom rocket and cheese.
Also despite being on the roof of the bullring in tourist town our waiter didn’t speak a word of English so the response to the “calzone” was just “no. Different”
A friend ordered the pasta in the pizza basket, and received a bowl of pasta and after complaining then got a flat pizza dough. He had actually pointed to the picture when ordering, and did so again to say this isn’t the right order, but again, was told “no. separate”. 5 minutes later the table behind us received what’s pictured the photo?!
Annoying as I had recommended to my group as being great but this time it wasn’t. Probably won’t...
Read moreWhere is the 0 star rating. Worst Customer service. If you want to be treated bad and ripped off on price, please go here. We are a family (with two small kids) from Seattle (Vegetarians) and the waiter (petite Asian looking girl with glasses) was super rude. The pasta items on the menu were already super expensive (~15 Euros per dish) and when we requested it they could make a plain pasta with Tomato sauce for kids they said they can make it and it would cost 20 Euros. I said if they could make one of the existing vegetarian pastas with Tomato sauce instead, they said they could but would charge addition 3 Euros. An Italian restaurant substituting a sauce with Tomato sauce charging 3 additional Euros? A plain pasta with Tomato sauce for kids 20 Euros? I asked for the Manager and he was rude than the waiter and didn't care to explain or serve. We walked away sharing the feedback to him, he just didn't seem to care and shrugged saying it's company policy. When I asked for his name he said his name was Owen (don't know if it's true). I will never ever go here. Run away from...
