Really Bad Experience And Overpriced food

Ordered veg salad sandwich with GF bread. Compared to the size of the veg salad on its own it was an absolute joke. (I also had to wait a really long time, after my partner and all the other tables who sat down after us got their food.)

Just before I finally got my tiny sandwich, I saw the waiter sneeze into his hand, then touch the bread.

I mentioned about the size of the meal to the waiter. As per usual, there is zero customer service in Barcelona. It took 4 members of staff in turn to talk to me. They just wanted to argue rather than offer me something else that is worth the price. In the end they took my plate away and just gave us the bill before my partner had finished eating her meal. They also charged us for the water that never arrived. When we asked, they didn't believe us even though there was no water on the table. We said we'll take water to go. They came with 2 tiny plastic bottles to take away. Then they came back 5 minutes saying that the total amount of water in these 2 tiny bottles was a little bit more in volume than if they had given us the glass one that they failed to give us in the first place. For this difference in volume they actually wanted us to pay them 1.75€ more. Again, zero customer service in this situation. In the end we gave 1 of the bottles of water back to them.

Next time Rooster & Bubbles:

Don't charge 10€ for a super tiny sandwich. At least explain this to customers before they order.

If a customer makes a complaint, rather than sending 4 different members of staff to argue with your customer, the first waiter should help to resolve the he situation. (Why does everyone in BCN have the 'customer is always wrong' approach?)

Don't bring the bill before we (my partner) finishes eating - it's super rude.

If you make a mistake of failing to bring something and then charging the customer for it, don't try arguing that the item you give them is worth 1.75€ more on value, and then try charging again for this...just let go at this point.

Don't go to this place, the other 'super food' place next door...

El pollo asado se ha puesto de moda!!!!! Y lo que uno busca en este tipo de sitios es sobretodo el buen gusto que cada lugar le da al pollito a la brasa… Me habian comentado de este lugar unos amigos y decidi ir a probarlo. El local parece ser de muy poco tiempo entonces nos encontraremos con un local bastante bien conservado y cuidadito. Nos recibio un chico bastante amable y educado, eso siempre se agradece a la hora de entrar a un establecimiento y es algo que valoro mucho LA ATENCION AL CLIENTE… Tampoco estaban llenos y eso daba tiempo a que el camarero este pendiente del servicio tambien… Viendo su carta se ve apetecible, de igual manera dos de las personas k nos acompañaban ya habian visitado el lugar y me recomendaron el pollito… En este caso yo no podia comer el acompañamiento que eran patatas asadas pero no habria problema xk se las comerian mis compañeros, aun asi decidi no hacer caso a la recomendacion y decidi probar el plato mixto que traia las 3 tipos de carnes asadas que ofrecian en carta POLLO ASADO, CERDO Y CORDERO!!! Al no comer las patatas pense que la racion de carne y por el precio seria mejor idea, osea vendria mas cantidad, el valor de este platillo era de 18€€ y el del medio pollo sino mal recuerdo era de 12,50€ tambien venia acompañado de las patatas.. 2 de los platos llegaron primeros y el tercero tardo un pelin mas aun sabiendo que eran platos unicos pero no pasa nada tampoco era algo exagerada la espera pero siempre es bueno comunicar a la cocina como apetece que el cliente salgan sus platos y mas xon la poca faena que tenian… Pero bueno mi penalizacion en si mas bien era por la cantidad de la racion comparandola con el precio que iba a pagar… al tener mas valor pense k era mas cantidad, pero la verdad no me parecio que llegara ni a 500gr de carne… cada carne venia desmenuzada y una alado de otra… hubiese quiza agradecido que el camarero comente el orden de cada carne, el pollo si se diferencia a la primera pero el cordero y el cerdo no todo el mundo es experto y quizas puede traer confusion… habia un momento que el sabor tambien era todo similar entonces se hizo bastante plano todo… al poco rato vi k una mesa alado se habia pedido un medio pollo que es plato unico la verdad y se veia mucho mas grande que el mio costando menos valor!!! Hubiese preferido que ve ga una pieza de pollo en la que quizas el cliente pueda elegir que parte sea, un trozo del cerdo y quizas el cordero desmenuzado, asi hubiese cambiado la presentacion al plato y se hubiese diferenciado mejor cada pieza de carne que te comias…. Quiero matizas que el sabor no estaba nada mal pero el tamaño de la racion con el precio no me parecio nada acertado!!! Volveria a repetir quizas solo para probar el medio pollo como plato unico, y quizas deberia haber la opcion de pollo entero con patatas y que venga por piezas para asi poderlo compartir entre varios!!!! Sin animo de hacer daño al local dejo mi opinion con todo...

Have had a few nice experiences here, most recently yesterday. It's nothing fancy - a simple menú based on roast chicken - but they do it very well. We had roast chicken with sweet potato fries and a large veg salad. All very good. Reasonable price/quality ratio given the touristy area. Most of all I was impressed by the efficient, friendly service. Everyone we encountered from booking via phone to the people who served us was polite and helpful, especially the woman who was our main server. Our questions about the menu were answered knowledgeably, and the atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed. My daughter managed to spill her water all over the table and the waitress helped us clear it up with a smile. All in all a nice hassle-free lunch....
