A hidden gem I wouldn’t even bother telling you about if I lived here because I want it to myself — San Pedrito Restaurante Y Licoreria is a true treasure for anyone seeking authentic Mexican cuisine. The moment you walk in, you're greeted by the warm presence of owner Ramon and his incredible team, including Franco, who make you feel less like a customer and more like family.
The star attractions here are undoubtedly their tacos. The suadero tacos are a masterpiece – tender, perfectly seasoned beef that literally melts in your mouth. The cochinito tacos are equally impressive, featuring succulent pork prepared with what must be a generations-old recipe. Each taco is served on fresh, handmade tortillas that perfectly complement the flavorful meats. But you also have to try the quesadilla and appreciate the homemade salsas.
What truly sets San Pedrito apart isn't just the outstanding food – it's the genuine warmth of the people behind it. Ramon has created more than just a restaurant; he's built a welcoming space where the love for traditional Mexican cuisine shines through in every dish. Franco and the rest of the staff share this passion, ensuring every guest feels welcomed and well-cared for.
If you're looking for real Mexican food served by some of the most genuine people in the business, San Pedrito is a must-visit. The combination of exceptional food and heartfelt hospitality makes this place truly special.

Read moreThe food is good, however not different from other taquerias. The cocktails didn't have a kick to them, wouldn't go back as a cocktail bar. The atmosphere and music were decent, but once the restaurant is full it becomes very noise and you can't enjoy the conversation or the music. They both get drowned by the general noise.
The main reason we did not enjoy the experience was due to the waitress who kept banging into our elbows and our table whilst trying to serve the table next to us. To the point that she nearly tipped our cocktails around 3-4 times and we had to hold the table everytime we saw her coming. She didn't stop doing it, even though she realized how uncomfortable it was making us and that we held the table and even though there was another side to the table that she could fit comfortably through.
The table shouldn't have been added in that floor plan clearer. Also if you sit on that side of the restaurant you will notice the cold coming in every time the door opens.
Will not return, not because of the food, but because of the...
Read moreThe restaurant is visually stunning, and the music they play adds to the great atmosphere. The food is delicious, and as a Mexican myself, I'll say that it's the best Mexican restaurant I've eaten at in Barcelona. The only reason why this is a 4-star review is the waitress and her attitude. She was quite stressed out about our very simple orders, and she might act that way in order to seem cute and bubbly, but it didn't come off very nice, to be totally honest, to the point of even ruining that magical spark the restaurant has. Understandably, some people don't work well under pressure. Highly recommended are the chorizo sopes and the campechano and the fish tacos. The aguas frescas are definitely less sugary than in other Mexican restaurants, which is also something I...
