Sorry to say, but this was one of the worst restaurants I've tried, ever. The service was magnificent, but everything else was terrible. First thing to know, you get an extra +15% charge if you sit outside, and they didn't even tell us this until we were already sitted down. That's fine, since it's a rule in the whole city, but I would've liked to know this beforehand. Next up, the food. I did not enjoy it at all, I don't know what else to say. Everything we ordered that was fried had this old burnt oil taste, as if they hadn't changed their frying oil in weeks. We had the fried chipirón squid, some croquettes (both ham and shrimp ones), padrón peppers, fried aubergine cubes.. all of them had this stinky old oil taste, not enjoyable at all. We also ordered a portion of paella. The serving size was pretty good, it was enough to share between 3 people, but the taste was very bland. The rice was soggy, and had a very strong tomato sauce taste. It's also safe to say that the seafood on the paella was not the freshest either, very soggy and didn't taste good at all. I don't like to waste food so I always try to finish everything, but this paella was hard for me to finish. The atmosphere outside was also not good, many beggars coming by and getting angry if people didn't give them money. Honestly, we only came to this restaurant because everywhere else was full and we made the mistake of not reserving in advance, so we came here spontaneously and felt lucky they had a table for us, but for a restaurant with a 4,2 rating, we didn't expect it to be that bad... I saw some other people's reviews here and looks like they had a great time. Shame that their food wasn't consistent when it came to our turn. Try at your own risk I guess.

Edit: thanks for the reply. I personally think that no matter the amount of fried tapas I order, it shouldn't affect the quality of the taste. I should be able to order 100 fried tapas and they should...

This is our second Taller de Tapas experience (first one in the location of Bari Gotti) and it came with mixed feelings so I will write everything one by one :)

• the food is great!! We took several tapas and desserts and ate everything! I love the Iberian croquettes, the octopus, the Patatas Bravas and the break with tomatoes! • keep in mind if you eat outside, there is a 15% additional charge to everything; • we waited around 15 minutes for a table outside - there were only 4, even though under the umbrella there is place for at least 2 more, but it was our choice; • the service is overall ok, but we had 7 different people bringing us food and they were coming at a few minutes distance so it was hard to start eating since there were things missing ... • they forgot about my dessert for 20 minutes and no one came outside due to the rain. So we were on the terrace, it was raining and I was without dessert - they brought 3 to the table, said "I will be right back with the apple tart" and then the rain started and nothing... By the way, I don't recommend the apple tart. Is is really basic, a bit sour. Better take the cheesecake or the lava cake, which are both great! • we had a nice fireplace nearby which we enjoyed for 80% of our lunch, but when it got colder due to the rain, they turned it off :)) speaking of good timing.

PS. The umbrellas outsides are really well connected so even if you are in between umbrellas it doesn't rain in between. PS. 2: Unfortunately we don't have pictures with the food, we waited to have them all brought, but we got to eat slowly and then forgot to...

One of the worst and most surreal experiences of my life. I’m still shocked and confused.

At first, everything was fine. My friends and I sat at the bar, and things were calm and pleasant. The bartenders were polite and offered us drinks.

After a while, a man wearing a shirt showed up and started making cocktails in front of us. It was the first time in my life I saw someone working so drunk that he couldn’t do anything properly. The drinks spilled down his arms, he slipped, made mistakes, and looked like a lost tourist. But the worst part wasn’t even that — it was that he started making all the female customers uncomfortable. He was only bothering the women, flirting and acting creepy to the point that I felt sick just watching it…

I can’t believe that things like this are allowed in a place that’s supposed to be good and safe. We came here because of the positive reviews, and now I’m starting to think they might be fake or paid, because what we saw doesn’t match at all what we read

The other staff just ignored him, acted like they didn’t see anything. It seemed like they were scared of him and didn’t dare to stop him. Honestly, it was the most unreal thing I’ve ever seen.

I’m definitely not coming back. I’ll make sure no one I know goes there either. I really hope they shut this place down because a place like this, dealing directly with customers, shouldn’t be allowed to...

A rare and surprising feel-good experience from many perspectives: human, gastronomic, musical, atmospheric. I was welcomed with a smile from Riccardo, the barman, a kind person who made me feel at home, and the food I ordered was delicious. Truly delicious. Onion soup, option of the day, could compete with the best I tasted in Paris, with a surprisingly effortless, home-made feel. The rest was equally satisfying, to the point of surprising. I think part of the perfection of this place was the warm cosy atmosphere I found myself in.. interesting contemporary but non mainstream music alternated with some classic soul.. sweet warm temperature inside in the midst of January, and the gentleness of the Raffa, the manager had a lot to do with one of the best experiences so far in Barcelona. I was left with the feeling of having been pampered without the formality that usuay ensues. They are really good at this! 😅 Not just recommended, required.🔥
