My wife and I came here for lunch on our 2nd last day in Barcelona (which proved we have had a few Spanish meals before this), and I must say this place has the worst service and the worst food out of all the places we visited.
I don't normally write review on places and businesses that I have visited, but I m sitting here in the restaurant, so angry and can't help but write a review about this place to warn others who visit this beautiful city and happen to go pass it.
We ordered the seafood paella, and after 45 minutes wait, the food arrived beautifully presented. However, with the first spoonful we realised the rice was undercooked (And I just want to reiterate that we have had quite a FEW paella over the last 4 days in Barcelona). We raised the issue with the waitress, so the food was brought back to the kitchen for the chef to check. After a few minutes, the paella was brought back to our table and we were told the rice should be softer in the center....which it wasn't after we tried to eat from the middle as per their suggestion. On top of that, the seafood was not fresh and cooked to death (Perhaps to mask the smell of bad/old seafood). We literally had just a few spoonful and gave up on the rest of the paella.
They also set us up with the remainder of the food order. Our waitress insisted we try the tomato bread after we finished ordering. We were hesitant because we already ordered a big entree but gave in because she said it's a must try. When the bill came, we realised they charged us for two servings and their explanation was they charge per a person. The table of three next to us were only charged for 1 serving (3 pieces).
Overall, if you happen to go pass this place...please a good it at all cost. Just go downstairs to the food court and most likely you will get a better...
Read morethe service here is absolutely atrocious! me & my group of friends are here in barcelona on a holiday as TOURISTAS and we got mcdonald’s which is just next to TAPA TAPA. we did not understand the seating area, and the area where tapa tapa was looked joint with the “public” seating area. therefore we though we could sit there and there was also no staff around to ask if it was with “TAPA TAPA” and bear in mind there were also no seats near mcdonald’s area. whilst we were enjoying our food a member of “TAPA TAPA” staff comes and rudely interrupts us and says “you can’t sit here this is tapa tapa”. at this point i said sorry we didn’t know we shall leave however she continued to say we were “liars”, saying “you should know you know do not lie” WE WERE NOT LYING! at this point, she rudely told us to go. i said i understand and i do not want to argue and she gave me A LOT of attitude. i shall never be going here again, DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE IF YOU WANT GREAT SERVICE ESPECIALLY AS...
Read moreI am writing to express my disappointment with the experience I had at your restaurant recently. Unfortunately, the food was mediocre, and everything we ordered was bland, which was quite disappointing.
Adding to this, the service we received was unacceptable. Despite the restaurant being almost empty when we arrived at 5 pm, with only two other tables occupied, no one took our order for a considerable amount of time after we were seated. One of the waitresses was on her phone, speaking loudly, showing no regard for the customers who would have appreciated a peaceful dining environment.
When a second waitress finally arrived, her behavior was rude and unprofessional. She spoke to us in a dismissive tone, accompanied by eye-rolling, which made it clear she was having a bad day. However, personal frustrations should not be taken out on customers, and such behavior is not acceptable in a service-oriented...
